A couple of days before Christmas 2017, I was involved in a bad car wreck. Sadly, I had just come from a party, where I had a few drinks. When police had arrived onto the scene, the sheriff had smelled alcohol on my breath while he was questioning me about how the accident had happened. I was take...n to the hospital for my injuries, and forced to submit a blood sample. The sample had showed that by BAC level was .19, and I ended up being hit with a DUI with injury. With this being my first offense, I had no idea about what to do or where to turn. My bail bondsman had recommended AVVO to me, and upon searching for a lawyer, I ended up on Michael Kraut’s profile. I ended up giving him a call on a Saturday morning, and he answered right away. He told me that he was willing to talk to me about the incident in person, and asked if I could come to his office on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, my wife and I drove to his office and I told him about the entire incident. He then told me that he would take my case and fight as hard as he could towards either getting it dismissed or bringing my felony down to a misdemeanor. After a few months had passed, my case was filed by the courts and Michael and his assistants began pulling as much evidence as they could get, in order to be able to defend me at my preliminary hearing. After a few more months, a plea deal was written up consisting of a felony charge and 4 years in prison. My wife and I were shocked, and talked to Michael about the deal. Michael told us that the deal was outrageous and that he would continue to fight for me. He continued to work on my case, and was able to interview others involved in the car wreck, prior to my preliminary hearing. On the day of my preliminary hearing, prior to stepping in front of the judge, Michael told me that he was still fighting to get me a better deal. A short time before my case was ready to be called to the front of the courtroom, we learned that new information was relayed, and that there had been a change to my plea deal. My new deal dropped my 4 years in prison to only a couple of days in jail, and my felony to a misdemeanor. I can’t say how thankful my wife and I are for Michael, Robert, and Tony from Kraut Law Group. Those three gentlemen worked hard on my case for as long as they possibly could, and saved me from years of confinement, a felony record, and the loss of my job. I am incredibly grateful to have found them, and I would definitely recommend them and their services to anybody in need of an incredible team.
