BEST Criminal Attorney, Period!

Hi, in 2010 I was under investigation for welfare fraud because I collected child support and did not report it. In June 2011, I received a letter from the Los Angeles County District Attorney Welfare Fraud Division stating that I was being charged with a felony violation of the welfare fraud code. ...After reading this letter, I almost passed out! I was scared, confused, up all night, researching various blogs trying to get more information on my charges. After reading other sites, I realized that this was a very serious charge and I needed a private attorney to get the results I needed. I contacted Mike Kraut at 7am on a Sunday morning. I had been up all night fearful of going to prison and not seeing my son again. He was so comforting and was very familiar with my type of charges. He arranged a date for a consultation and explained that he would be able to help me get my life back. He also explained to us that this felony conviction would ruin my chances for a professional career and any other job I wanted, essentially leaving me as a burden on my family. Yesterday, November 7, 2011, Mr.Kraut did exactly what he said he would do which was work extremely hard to help me. My case was dismissed yesterday and I have Mike Kraut to thank for that. He is absolutely the best at what he does, hands down. I wouldn't trust my life and future with anyone else.

Great Criminal Defense Attorney

I highly recommend Mike Kraut to anyone in need of a criminal defense attorney. When I was falsely accused and charged with penal code 653m (annoying phone calls) in Manhattan Beach, I had no idea how to differentiate between the countless number of criminal defense attorneys in the greater Los Ang...eles area. I am a white collar professional and I took these charges very seriously; frankly, I was very nervous. As a licensed professional, I couldn't afford to have any sort of criminal record. I needed an attorney to clear me of these charges. I started doing some Internet based research and was able to narrow down my search to about 10 or so prospects. However, from that point forward, my selection of Mike became easy. He was the only attorney to contact me on a Sunday (I sent inquiries to all potential attorneys on Saturday night). He called me and spent as much time as was necessary gathering the basic facts pertaining to my case. Additionally, he wanted to meet in person the following day to discuss my case in further detail and make sure that he was a good fit for me and vice versa (this was all done at no charge). When I met with Mike at my consultation, it became remarkably clear to me that Mike is intelligent, an expert at what he does, and someone who genuinely cares about his clients. Notably, when my other prospects finally called me back, they did not conduct nearly as thorough of a fact finding conversation and not one offered to speak with me in person. They simply wanted a commitment one way or the other after a 5 minute conversation. As far as the results of my case, Mike's talent proved to be the real deal. Ultimately, his hard work lead to a dismissal of my case. Moreover, he was able to have the restitution the victim was requesting reduced to a negligible amount. I couldn't be happier with the experience of dealing with Mike as well as his results. If you are need of a criminal defense attorney, Mike Kraut is your man.

Thanks so much Michael!! You rock!!

My experience with Kraut Law Group was excellent!!! Words can not express the gratitude that I have for Michael inwhat he has done for me. I was arrested for DUI in Montebello (LA County) and I was driving at around 95-100 mph. That was the worst day of my life. It was my first DUI offense. I though... have a prior record for speeding. I got arrested and was in jail for almost a day. I went through a very difficult phase when deciding which lawyer should I get to fight for my DUI charge since after reading the implications of DUI, I was really scared and horrified since DUI is very very serious and I believe I had made the best decision in chosing Kraut Law Group. I found Michael Kraut Law group online and went through various reviews. I saw his education profile (Harvard Grad) and was really impressed and decided that I will give him a call and discuss with him about my case. I called him and he returned my call within 5 minutes. I went to talk to him personally at his office and he listened to all the details patiently and explained me the whole process step by step and supported me all the way and I decided to have him defend my case. He kept me in the loop in the whole process. Michael is not your typical lawyer; he is very friendly, upfront, VERY VERY knowledgable in his work, down to earth, and has a sense of humor. He treated me not as a client but as a friend. I used to get really scared about losing my job as well as the DUI affects on my immigration status but Michael always used to tell me not to worry and everything would be taken care of. He gave me 1st happy news just after 1-2 weeks of the day of my arrest and told me that I will get my license back. He represented me in the court, which resulted in a significant dismissal of all my charges and my DUI case was dismissed and he got me to attend a traffic school which resulted in the dismissal of my speeding violation. So now, I don't have a DUI record. I heard that DUI hearings can take lot of time (more than 6 months or so) but in my case Michael got my case dismissed within 4 months. Without his representation and finesse I would have suffered the fullest extent of my charges. And not just the charges, it would have affected my personal and professional life badly but I am so greatful to god that I chose Michael to defend my case. He is very professional and ambitious! He is the best out there! He handled my case as a true professional. Not only did he get my case dismissed, but he also cared about me and my feelings throughout. I would refer Michael to any of my family members, friends, or anyone out there that needs an awesome attorney. The best way I can thank him is to pay it forward by writing this review. Thank You so much Michael!! You rock!! --- Kiran V

Second chance in life

I was arrested for shoplifting in one of the big box stores in Burbank, California. I was charged and booked with felony theft. Never felt more terrified in my life. Realization hits you like a ton of bricks when you’re handcuffed, transported in a squad car, thrown in a holding cell, then booke...d. Just the waiting time in the holding cell alone was unbearable. I was not processed until six hours later nor was I was not allowed to use the phone to call someone until three more hours after being booked. I had to call family for help to bail me out. I finally got out minutes before midnight. I barely slept through the night. The following day, I felt like I was in limbo. I kept asking what if/ and what now. I needed answers. I searched the internet for various law offices, called them, and got their voicemail. Attorney Michael Kraut was the ONLY firm to answer the phone personally! His first question was about my well being, not about my case. He was courteous and personable. I met with him that same afternoon to discuss my case. I was impressed the first time I met him. He introduced himself and talked about his love for what he does and his satisfaction of helping his clients out. Did I mention that he was a former Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles? He did not put on a show or dazzle me with fancy legal words or procedures. He listened intently as I told him the facts concerning my case (no interruptions, even let me vent a little bit). He laid the facts of the situation and what I could expect at any point in the process. It was clear that he was the man you want on your side advocating heavily for you. From beginning to end, I never felt alone. Any questions I had was promptly answered whether by phone or email, Attorney Michael Kraut was always easy to reach and available. He met with the District Attorney for the Burbank Courts twice and pleaded my case. On my third court date, he told me to appear in court “so we could finish this and close this case”. I was a nervous wreck. I saw on the roster that I was up for pre trial hearing. “I’m going to trial?” I asked myself. The next thing I saw was Attorney Michael Kraut with his usual reassuring smile and he calmly told me that “we’re going to end this today”. Within ten minutes of waiting, he had a paper for me to sign stating that my felony was reduced to a no contest plea of simple misdemeanor and I only have to do community service! (and after doing community service, he will work to have my record expunged) NO JAIL TIME AND NO FELONY ON RECORD! WOW! I can’t believe what just happened. I am so grateful for Attorney Michael Kraut for giving me a second chance in life. I learned my lesson. On the stormy seas of legalities, Attorney Michael Kraut does not just throw you a life preserver, he dives in and rescues you; guiding you to the safe shores of calm and clarity. If you need and experienced attorney, I highly recommend his firm. Many, many thanks and much success to you and your firm. > J.P.

Great Attorney!

I received a call one morning from an unfamiliar phone number. It was my son , telling me he had been arrested. He was accused of fracturing the arm of his son's mother. She was transported to the hospital and he was brought to the Pico Rivera Sheriff's Station. The charges were domestic violence, a f...elony. I was in shock, asking the obvious question how could this happen? I didn't know what to do except to call a bail bonds company to have my son released. The bail was set at $50,000 due to the felony charge. He spent 24 hours in custody . First at Pico Rivera Sheriff's Station and then transferred to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles. When he arrived home were we still in shock and waited a full day before contacting an attorney. It was Sunday morning and I searched on the internet for domestic violence attorneys in Los Angeles. The name Michael Kraut appeared on a number of sites , so we called him. Surprisingly he answered the call and said he was on the way out but would get back to us a a few hours. He returned the call as promised and set up an appointment for the same afternoon. Upon meeting him, I noticed he was confident and immediately put us at ease. My son told him the facts and Michael told us about his background as a former District Attorney. He did emphasize the word RELAX. At that moment I knew he was the right attorney to clear my son of these charges. He told us to go home and write a timeline of events that led up to the incident. We sent all the information he requested . Michael wrote a letter to the Whittier District Attorney and also one to the detective at Pico Rivera station.the letter documenting the history of my grandson's mother extreme physical violence and harassment of my son. He included 30 pages of her police reports and incidences with various law enforcement agencies. The court date was in three weeks. we received a call from Mike two days before that court date. He wanted us to come to his office right away, I knew that could only mean two things... very good or very bad news. Well due to his stellar reputation as a District Attorney and his superb knowledge of the law the case was rejected. Finished! I highly recommend Michael Kraut, his effort is so appreciated. He put his heart into this case , knowing it could jeopardize the custody of my grandson. He is a well respected attorney and thank you are not powerful enough words for his help.
