So far Kurt & his team have been doing a great job with their preparation & representation. I can sleep a lot easier now knowing that he's not only an expert and a true artist in his craft, but he's also a realist and will not make promises he can't keep or speculate on what a judge might do...and he... will help keep your focus on what's right for your case & your family. I think a few of the bad reviews I've seen are pure sour grapes where people didn't pay for his well-earned services or can't understand a successful lawyer like his can't always get back to you at the drop of a dime any time you want, or simply don't follow his advice and it costs them. Or sensitive personalities who don't like hearing his frank & blunt candor. I DO appreciate it, because it helps ME. Thank you Kurt. Kurt doesn't yell, hot-dog & grand-stand like these typical lawyers. He is above that and it shows that he's earned the respect of lawyers & judges alike. To the reviewer that complained that he yawned during consultation -- this man just worked on my response that we were forced to file at the last minute all the way to 3:43am this morning, and still showed up at 9am hearing with me and met w/ me later inpromptu when I dropped in his office @ 5pm the same day. I can certainly be empathetic if he's yawning or tired...he's a workaholic machine with many complicated cases, yet WORTH EVERY PENNY IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PROTECTING YOUR FAMILY. His transparent rates on the billing statements are very fair in my opinion. They do NOT nickel and dime you and offer flat-fee retainer agreements which can actually save you a ton of money while getting amazing representation. A true good businessman who's compassionate and employs like-minded ppl. Kurt & team have earned a family lawyer from us for life and I I am beyond grateful for his help and very hopeful for the future of my loved ones.

I hired Kurt Smith to help me with a divorce. After presenting me with several options, I decided to proceed with a contested divorce. However, after a few months, Mr. Smith held a settlement conference with me and my ex husband. During the settlement conference, which took several hours, Mr. Smit...h convinced my husband to let me have primary custody of my kids. I got more child support than I thought I would and he even got me alimony. Mr. Smith did all of this without even having to go to trial. This man can charm the skin off a snake. And he did too.

I hired Smith Legal Group to help me get visitation with my grandson. I have always had a close relationship with my grandson. However, after my son and his wife got a divorce, his wife moved away and stopped letting me see my grandson. Things went from bad to worse when my grandson's mom started ...hanging out with the wrong crowd and letting my grandson hang out with the wrong crowd. I had actually hired a few attorneys in the past. They made me promises about my case, but were unable to follow through. When I met with Kurt Smith, Mr. Smith explained to me that different judges approach things different ways. My judge was a very conservative judge with grandchildren of his own. He reviewed my former paperwork and explained how my previous attorneys had not presented my case properly. I was skeptical, but I really missed my grandson. I hired Kurt Smith to take care of it. WHAT A RELIEF!!! Kurt Smith had a way of talking to the judge that put me, the judge, and everyone else in the courtroom at ease. The other attorney kept talking about constitutional rights of parents and how the judge had no authority to make any decisions in my favor. He sounded really good. Mr. Smith explained the other attorney's legal argument to me, but also explained why those arguments didn't apply in this case. I was nervous. But Mr. Smith was right! The Judge agreed with him and gave me visitation rights with my grandson every year. My grandson's Mom was spittin mad. But things have calmed down and the exchanges now go by without a hitch. Mr. Smith came through when others couldn't. He's a busy attorney. But he must know what he's talking about because he sure won my case for me!

Mr. Smith is a rock star. He also has a great team. I hired Mr. Smith to get me divorced. I got a great job offer in Canada and had to leave the country. My wife had a criminal record and could not join me. Mr. Smith made sure that everything was handled with the court so that I could accept the... job in Canada and not worry about what was going on here with my ex. Time was of the essence for me. I told him to contact me if there was a problem, no matter what time. A couple of times I got emails from him at like 2 or 3 in the morning. But he got the job done and I got the job I was looking for. I don't plan on getting married again any time soon. But I would definitely use Smith Legal Group for any legal need I had in the future.

During CPS investigation resulting in my daughter being removed from me. Kurt thoroughly walked me through everything step by step. In court Mr.Smith pleaded my case for me & the judge ruled in my favor. I highly recommend Kurt Smith for CPS cases or custody cases. He knocked it out of the park & is ...very profession.
