He was extremely professional, a great orator and clearly had a strategy in place for my defense and mitigation. Craig Gillespie skillfully negotiated a plea deal which I accepted for 1-4 years. While this was still frightening to me, it was a much better offer than the original 6-9 years. In the end, I was sentenced to 1.25 years in prison by a thoughtful judge who understood the power of addiction and who was clearly impressed by the mitigation case that Mr. Gillespie submitted. Due to an early release for good behavior, I served 7 1/2 months. In my view, Craig Gillespie saved my life and I am eternally grateful.
