My family has had no experience with lawyers except getting our end of life documents in order. Our 12-year old son went to a classical education charter school where the principal allowed the middle schoolers to partake in a snowball fight for days. The two rules were to only play with those parti...cipating and display moderation. Oh, and there was no adult supervision. By the third day the snow was a huge pile of ice being guarded by the 8th graders, doling out ice to their friends and 7th and 8th graders pelting each other with ice balls. Our son was hit in the head twice with ice, once in his hearing aide and he has sensory processing disorder. When our kid was hit in the head with an ice ball he took that kid to the ground for about a second when the bell rang and the kids went into the school. No kids were hurt or reported anything to the administration. The next day the parent of the boy my son took to the ground called the police and my son was charged with assault.
