BENJAMIN FOR THE WIN

I often joked with Ben that he was the best thing about my divorce. That turned out to be true. I found Ben while searching for "aggressive" divorce lawyers. I am pretty mild mannered so I knew I needed someone who was going to keep me focused with an aggressive mentality and approach. As a man g...oing through a divorce in the great state of Texas, I'll admit, it's pretty terrifying. But Ben is the lawyer that you hope your soon to be ex doesn't hire, because you would never want to go up against this guy in the courtroom. In a very wild and bitter divorce case that involved every allegation under the sun directed at me, police involvement, and meddling in-laws, this man defended me with grit unlike I've ever seen. My ex-wife's (financially well-off) parents spared no expenses in paying for her part of the divorce. My ex was bent on taking my children away from me. In my hearing for temporary orders, Ben absolutely embarrassed the opposing attorney. His courtroom demeanor is impeccable. His attention to detail is otherworldly. His ability to recognize and exploit inconsistencies in the testimonies of others is amazing. I ALWAYS felt like I was walking into the courtroom with a lawyer that was ready to fight for me and believed in me. He made so much of a fool out my ex's attorney, that she fired and replaced her's on the spot immediately after the temporary orders hearing. After that, Ben guided me over the next 3 months leading up to a two day trial. In the meantime, he ensured that my rights were protected during a very peculiar/questionable 4 hour deposition that I was put through and he procured my home and my car for me in mediation. In the final hearing which was, again, a two day trial over custody and child support, Ben defended me against the testimonies of 5 different witnesses who attempted to paint a picture of me as an uninvolved father and corroborate my ex's story that I was a terrible husband who was both verbally and mentally abusive. I use the word "attempt" because Ben shredded every one of these witnesses' stories to pieces casting considerable doubt on the validity of all of their accusations. He frustrated them with his cross examination, even causing one of them to lash out in a fit of rage and another to turn beet red and sweat profusely. It was vindicating to see their stories crumble under Ben's scrutiny. In the end Ben got me, A MAN IN THE STATE OF TEXAS, PRIMARY CUSTODY of my children. He also saw that I was awarded decision making rights when it came to my children with his effective arguments he made to the judge. The level of persuasion this man can convey is unparalleled. Lastly, Ben is honest. He always told me the truth from the beginning, he always kept me up to date, and he never left me hanging through the entire process. He was efficient and fair with billing, which saved me money. I hugged this man, sobbing, outside of the courthouse because he pulled through in a way I never imagined. Ben OVER-DELIVERED in my case. I can't say enough good things about him.

Inexperienced, too busy to take ownership of complicated cases

My experience with Mr. Carrasco was one of restoring retainers and getting very little value even at minimum expectations. He made some catastrophic mistakes in my divorce that resulted in significant losses of "separate property" and paying him exhorbitant fees. He was no match for the experience ...of opposing cancel and found him to be "speechless" in Court hearing on critical occaisions. The final divorce decree document is so poorly drafted and has now been contested several times in followup hearings. So many conflicts in provisions and grammatical errors. - looks like a very poor "cut & paste" exercise (of course the opposing counsel had something to do with that as well) Be careful with Ben and track his work and deliverables on a weekly basis or you will be shocked at how fast he runs up fees. May be good for non contested divorces; but do not hire him if there are children involved, he is too inexperienced.

Do yourself a favor and just call Ben!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while now. The truth is that every time I come to write it, I don’t even know where to start! It’s been a long journey and Ben has done so much for my family. I am one of Ben’s longest clients and can tell you why you should hire him for any family matter. ... Back in 2016, I interviewed several lawyers before Ben regarding an immediate need for representation for my high-conflict separation. I was initially impressed by the videos on Ben’s website. I was also impressed by his Stanford Law education, what others had to say about him, and by his obvious passion for what he does. I ultimately decided on Ben after speaking with him. He told me what I needed to hear regarding potential outcomes of my case, and not just what I wanted to hear in order to get my money. From the beginning, Ben was responsive and ready to go. He responded to my initial inquiry on a weekend and had a TRO (temporary restraining order) signed by a judge within days. It was always this way - Ben gets things done when they need to be done and, as a client, I never felt like I didn’t come first. Just ask him about the time he answered my calls and questions from a hospital bed when he was sick - I’m not kidding! My case was sensitive and complex - involving many hearings, expert witnesses, psych evaluations, a guardian ad litem appointment, CPS, a child therapist, etc. You name it, Ben took care of it for me. He never shied away from these complexities. As an attorney who will fight aggressively when need be, Ben thrived in these situations and always fought for my best interest when dealing with the many entities at hand. He is aggressive but not dirty - this will save you time, money, and sanity, while also protecting your best interest. I could tell Ben had credibility with the judge. He was praised and clearly well-respected. He outclassed opposing counsel, won many key hearings, and his courtroom performance is unparalleled. Billing was always fair and transparent. He was extremely efficient and I know this saved me money. I want to mention that in this business, you get what you pay for. I don’t think I’ve ever been so glad to give my money to someone! Cutting corners and hiring inexperienced or undervalued counsel shows. Save yourself and hire Ben. The results he provides are priceless. In the end, the father’s rights were terminated and my husband is now in the process of adopting my daughter. This is not, nor should hardly ever need to be, the outcome most parents desire - Ben will tell you this himself as he is a very reasonable man - but it was necessary for us. Throughout this process, I learned that termination is next to impossible, but by the grace of God and a lot of hard work, Ben accomplished just that! Ben is a great man and a phenomenal attorney. He cares about what he does and is the best you’re going to find, with the client testimonials to prove it. For any family matter, do yourself a favor and hire Ben.

You can't go wrong with Ben!

Divorce is never easy, and mine was particularly nasty. I can unequivocally say that hiring Ben was the best decision I made throughout the process. Ben is an brilliant, honest, and efficient attorney. He takes the time to help you understand the process, and his response time to emails and phone cal...ls is absolutely stellar. I don't want to set expectations high- but in my case it seemed like he never took a weekend off. Ben is brilliant in court. He made effective arguments on my behalf that I believe lead to a better than expected outcome for me. He even took the court granted lunch hour to do research to help bolster our case instead of grabbing a well deserved bite! Unlike some lawyers, Ben is not court averse. While he is quite happy to work with the other party to avoid lengthy litigation if it is in the best interest of his client, he is equally willing to stand up for his clients interest at trial. In my experience, the court is where Ben's knowledge and intelligence really shines through. He is highly effective in the courtroom. His practice also has a very lean and efficient billing system that does not look to find ways to inflate fees. You pay for the work he does, and it is well worth it! I cannot recommend Ben enough. His rare combination of brilliance and personal integrity make him a pleasure to work with. If you find yourself in the position of needing a divorce attorney, you can't go wrong with Ben.

mismanage divorce!!!

Mr. Carrasco took over a previously mismanaged divorce process that had already taken 2 years and 8 with no progress. He handled the paperwork & court appearances himself and within 5 months the Divorce Decree was wonder fully finalized.
