TMB Complaint

After receiving a letter from the Texas Medical Board about a patient complaint I immediately sought assistance. I came upon Mr. Weitz website as well as reviews here. I talked to three attorneys on the phone and without a doubt felt the most comfortable working with Mr. Weitz. From the beginning he ...was open and thorough and well as very quick to get tasks completed. He personally delivered documents to the Texas Medical Board and continued to keep me up to date every step of the way. I highly recommend Mr. Weitz.

Extremely Knowledgable Attorney

I happened upon Mr. Weitz while calling different health care attorneys in Austin. I needed answers regarding the possibility of future licensing. I am in school and just finished my prerequisites for a health care program. I had an interest in nursing, respiratory therapy and occupational therapy. I... was concerned about something on my criminal record from years ago and needed to make sure that I would be able to obtain future licensing. I knew that all three fields had their own boards and that each one had different rules and regulations regarding licensing. I wasn't sure which direction I should take. I needed answers fast because I wanted to start applying for programs. The couple of attorneys that I spoke to before Mr. Weitz wouldn't even speak to me without scheduling a consultation. I was ready and willing to hire an attorney to help, but I simply needed someone to tell me if I even had a remote chance before paying a huge amount of money for nothing. As soon as I called Tim's office I was able to speak with him and get immediate answers. He didn't promise me anything but he was very knowledgeable and straight forward about my options and what he felt would be best for my particular situation. We decided to go the occupational therapy route and started working together the very next week on the necessary paperwork. The whole process took exactly 90 days. I received my letter today from the board stating that my criminal matter will have no impact on my future application for a license to practice occupational therapy. What a relief!! I am so thankful for Mr. Weitz's extensive knowledge, expertise and professionalism! I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs assistance with any health care issue.

He learned of the details as if he had walked in my shoes

The accusation had left me hurt and questioning whether I wanted to continue my practice. Tim Weitz was determined to make it right. He listened intently and carefully reviewed documents. He never made me feel rushed and answered each of my questions well. Finally, the night before my hearing (wh...ile showing me how I should speak with confidence and strength ) I realized he had memorized every subtle nuance of my case as if he had been in my shoes. His passion and dedication to his work gave me the strength to stand up for myself confidently in a difficult situation. Tim, the remainder of my years in practice are because you care so much. Thank you.

LOOK NO FURTHER AND HIRE AND RETAIN THE BEST

I retained and hired Mr. Weitz after multiple legal issues arose when I felt this would compromise my medical license. He was honest and direct which were two important components that I gravitated towards immediately when we spoke and provided pathways of potential consequences. While I struggled wi...th initially finding counsel based on finding the right fit, once I read these reviews I knew Mr. Weitz would be the attorney that I would hire and can confidently state that his expertise and reputation with the Texas Medical Board are unique characteristics which will be difficult to replicate in your search. While there were successive hurdles, no action was taken on my medical license and more importantly there were issues with how my profile was represented and he confidently addressed these issues and rectified this in an extremely favorable outcome. Take your time and do your research before you hire counsel but do not make the mistake of trying to navigate this on your own because you will have too much at stake to try to take a chance with your career. Without his advice and expertise, I can only state that the outcome would have been very different and can retrospectively indicate that if he can assist me, he undoubtedly will be able to do the same with your case.
