I would like to share my experience with Ilana Tanner. On the one hand, Ilana is genuinely compassionate and understanding, traits that are invaluable in a lawyer. She certainly shows a commitment to her clients, and I appreciated her empathy during some challenging times. However, I must caution ...potential clients about a few issues I encountered. While her services are priced at a premium, I faced several discrepancies in her billing. There were numerous instances of unclear and unnecessary communication that resulted in over $1,200 in charges, which Ilana herself acknowledged should not have occurred. Despite her apology, the billing remained unchanged, and it took over a month for her to respond to my inquiries regarding these discrepancies. Additionally, I found that the communication from her paralegal was often unclear and lacked kindness. The effectiveness of a lawyer can be heavily influenced by their support staff, and in this case, it posed challenges in our interactions. Lastly, when I concluded my engagement with her services, I was concerned by the impression left with the opposing counsel. They seemed to believe I had no evidence and mischaracterized my intentions in the case, which centered around breaches in our custodial agreement and the well-being of our child. I don't understand how this misunderstanding could have occurred given the conversations Ilana had with them. In summary, while Ilana Tanner has admirable qualities and a compassionate demeanor, I believe potential clients should carefully consider the financial aspects and communication efficiency of her practice before making a decision.

In the toughest of times, when there are stress and emotions, Ilana and her team made my divorce much more bearable. They were kind, understanding, attentive and really listened to what I needed from the situation. The support for my concerns were immeasurable, not to mention at a price I could aff...ord! Thank you for helping me through this tough time, would recommend without a doubt, to anyone looking for a smooth and painless understanding of the process. 10/10

Before I hired Ilana as my attorney I had custody of my child, and the other parent had 16 hours of visitation a week, after I hired Ilana I lost custody of my child. Ilana isn't as experience dealing with CPS as she says she is. She also is not experienced dealing with cases where abuse is involved.... She was reluctant to bring to court witness experts. During the time my child custody issue was still in court I was advised by her/ her staff to do somethings that hurt my case instead of help me. When she saw the case was getting more complicated she withdrew from my case. Before she left my case, the other attorney had asked her for dates to go to court but instead of going to court with me she withdrew and I had to go to court unrepresented (I couldn't get an attorney within a week). I then lost custody of my child. I had to hire another attorney now to get back custody of my child and it is costing me a fortune to undo the mistakes that she advised me to do. She contacted my new attorney to let him know that I still had a balance with her. I had a balance with her (after paying over 30K) and she charged my bank account without notifying me that she was going to do it. The contract she asks you to sign says that she can charge your credit card on file, that I am not sure how she gets that information, probably when you make the electronic payments on the link that she gives you (but that is just a guess). She may be a good attorney in simple cases, but if you need to proof that your kid or you are in danger she may not be the best attorney for your case. She is definitely not an attorney I would recommend to a friend.

My family hired Ilana to take care of a serious matter involving child custody. Initially, it was so confusing and scary. She took the time to explain in detail every step of the process and took the pressure off! We were MORE than happy with the final result and she continues to check in on our fami...ly. I know I may sound like a paid commercial, but I'm not!!! Just trust and believe me she is WELL worth any dollar amount. I will never hire any other attorney for my family law matters. She is and continues to be EVERYTHING we need! HIRE HER!!!

Ilana helped me with my divorce when it started to turn into a messy child custody battle. My vindictive ex husband attempted to make things ugly with false allegations and lies, however, Ilana ended up getting things settled outside of the courtroom and the least expensive way possible. She is strai...ghtforward, does not sugar coat things and since she knows family law so well, she gives realistic expectations. I had a ton of questions in which she always responded lightning fast by email! She will never leave you hanging in the dark about what's going on with your case as she is very good at keeping touch. If it's not her contacting you, it's one of her paralegals who are also great. I recently had another suit filed against me by my "vexatious litigant" of an ex. I wanted to utilize Ilana's services again, however, she was all booked up since she's top notch. When I showed up to my court hearing, Ilana was there representing someone else but took a moment to speak with me. She genuinely cares about her clients. I highly recommend her for family law or civil matters!!!
