(I had no idea, having lived all my life undiagnosed!) Mr. Hopke also knew someone that specialized in that field - the best in Texas - and sent me to that person to be evaluated. With that completed, it was a matter of waiting for the DA to be ready to hear the case. Throughout the time that my case was pending, Mr. Hopke made clear that he was more than just a legal counselor, that he was always available to answer any questions I had. He knew all the possible outcomes and had a plan ready for each of them. I always felt better after I left the courtroom. I eventually got deferred adjudication, just as he said. I don't know if I would ever find out that I'm autistic had I gone with another attorney, if any of them would be willing to go the distance or the financial costs of these psychological evaluations. But Mr. Hopke did, I now know what I have, and am able to look for the right course of actions. I cannot thank him enough.
