With that completed, it was a matter of waiting for the DA to be ready to hear the case. He knew all the possible outcomes and had a plan ready for each of them. I always felt better after I left the courtroom. I eventually got deferred adjudication, just as he said. I don't know if I would ever find out that I'm autistic had I gone with another attorney, if any of them would be willing to go the distance or the financial costs of these psychological evaluations. But Mr. Hopke did, I now know what I have, and am able to look for the right course of actions. I cannot thank him enough.
