Mr. Hopke represented me on a felony case, and proved to be excellent at what he does. He saw me the day after I contacted him, and anticipated the likely verdict. He had a plan, instructed me on what I needed to do, and knew the right people that could help. He sent me for a psyche evaluation, which... revealed that I'm autistic. (I had no idea, having lived all my life undiagnosed!) Mr. Hopke also knew someone that specialized in that field - the best in Texas - and sent me to that person to be evaluated. With that completed, it was a matter of waiting for the DA to be ready to hear the case. Throughout the time that my case was pending, Mr. Hopke made clear that he was more than just a legal counselor, that he was always available to answer any questions I had. He knew all the possible outcomes and had a plan ready for each of them. I always felt better after I left the courtroom. I eventually got deferred adjudication, just as he said. I don't know if I would ever find out that I'm autistic had I gone with another attorney, if any of them would be willing to go the distance or the financial costs of these psychological evaluations. But Mr. Hopke did, I now know what I have, and am able to look for the right course of actions. I cannot thank him enough.

Kurt Hopke should be classified as Houston, Texas #1 attorney. I was blessed that the state appointed me Mr. Hopke, he listened to me and felt my true innocence to the alleged Felony Assault case I was facing and helped me get the case DISMISSED. He frequently called me to update me about the case,... mentored me along to way, and fought to protect me from _ to jail. Thanks to Kurt Hopke, I am now able to see my son and be in his life. 5 stars isn't enough to rate this guy, I literally owe Kurt my life and wouldn't be sitting here writing this review if it weren't for him. Kurt doesn't rely on the behind the scene politics that go on everyday in the court room but he practices law, REAL law. He is a genius. If you're looking for so...meone to represent you who truly cares about your outcome and future, I recommend Kurt Hopke. You will not find anyone better, he is a wizard of law.

I will be forever indebted to Kurt for what he has done for me. I was initial charges were PCS 1-4g, theft of a motor vehicle, and a 2nd degree felony fraud charge. I bonded out and then caught a 1st degree felony PCS charge along with a 1st degree fraud case. It's truly a miracle I'm able to write t...his review considering the severity of my charges. But once you have Kurt by your side, you start calling miracles "the Kurt Hopke special" in this case, that was an 8 years deferred sentence on the 2 fraud charges only. The 3 other charges were dismissed. The best thing about having Kurt as your lawyer is knowing that you have someone that will do what's in your best interest. I can't tell you how important that is when you find yourself in jail and no way to help yourself. Oh, and if you are incarcerated while fighting your cases, Kurt visits his clients more so than some family members do. Be prepared to have many jealous cell mates. What makes Kurt so good at his job is the fact that he loves his job. This dude is a geek when it comes to the law. He gets so into it that mere mortals like me can't understand a word he is saying when he discovers something that could help you. I trust Kurt more so than anyone that I know, including family. To have that big of an impact on people's lives by just doing your job shows how good he is and why you should stop searching for an attorney and hire Kurt.

Kurt took our case which was a probation violation. He had two felony cases and one felony prior. After writing writs to the court of criminal appeals, two of the three felonies went away. The states first offer was 25 years and he ended up getting him reinstated on probation!!! He is a wizard and I ...highly suggest everyone to hire him!
