Unfortunately, my son's case seems to be the exception of the reviews. His minor case took several years and Mr Atkinson was willing to accept the first offer made by the prosecution. My son said no, I'll accept two years probation. Mr Atkinson went back inside the room in the courthouse where the at...torneys go to work out deals and came out with the deal my son requested. If my son had just accepted the deal Mr Atkinson was willing to accept he would have been on probation for years for a first offense misdemeanor. On top of all that, we felt forgotten by Mr Atkinson since there was very little communication. Plus, the communication was always with his staff, never with him. I understand he doesn't personally make all his phone calls but we literally never talked to him except the day he was hired and on the day my son went to court.
