I was involved in a scenario normally only heard about on the news. While riding my motorcycle home one night on the highway, I noticed that the car in front of me suddenly swerve off to the right. The next thing I knew, headlights were coming straight at me from a vehicle heading the wrong direction... and I struck the side of his car as he attempted to dodge the collision at the last second. I wound up in the hospital, but miraculously, I physically got away with nothing more than a broken wrist and road rash. Though I suffered relatively minimal injuries, they greatly set me back in my studies towards medical school and at work. I also found myself waking up in the middle of the night after reliving the near-death experience in my dreams. In March of 2006 my wife & I were involved in a single vehicle wreck, caused by the mechanical failure of aftermarket parts.
