On August 7, 2012, while riding my bicycle I was struck by an automobile. I remember waking up as they were wheeling me into the ambulance. Nearly two years ago I was at the top of my game. I was an ICU nurse at a large teaching hospital. I was up for a promotion, and preparing to seek an advanced practice degree.
