I have about $100,000.00 in Student Loans after going through Undergrad and Grad School at Webster University. I graduated with my MA in 2008. The economy collapsed in 2008, so good jobs were hard to come by. I ended up getting a $30,000.00/yr job in 2009. After a few promotions I was able to work my... way up to $43,000.00/yr. Then in 2015, I went through a divorce. After years of forbearance requests, etc… the loans started to become due and payable. With just 2 of the loans coming up first the monthly payments would have been over $850.00 each month! More than rent and more than health insurance. With each paycheck being about $1,100.00 after taxes and insurance, I wouldn’t have been able to make ends meet. I was seriously considering breaking my lease and moving back in with my parents until I found Mr. Tate. We explored a BK option. Then he found a way to consolidate ALL of my student loans AND place me on an Income Based Repayment plan. With my level of income and 4 children, my monthly payments are $0.00! AND, I did not have to file Bankruptcy! I’ll be seeing him again next year to renew the IBR! He is a saint among men. Really saved me from the biggest burden of my life. I cannot thank him enough.
