Per Joe Navarro ARH Consulting absorbed the Law Offices of Alex Hernandez. Below is my review of the Law Offices of Alex Hernandez, updated include my interaction with Joe Navarro at ARH consulting today. -We began our relationship with Alex Hernandez Law firm by paying a retainer of $1950. We were ...initially assigned Brain Tagtmeier to represent us in our eviction case. He represented us in our eviction case, and we won. The landlord appealed the case, and Brain passed our case on to Sam Meyer. -Sam reached out to us for a 30 minute phone call to gather a brief understanding of our case. Imagine our surprise when we were charged for the time it took Sam to review our case. We did not choose to be assigned to another attorney, so we should not be charged for the time it takes for a new attorney to review our case. Sam said barely said two words during the case, and the judge stated that the papers filed on our behalf were filed incorrectly. So, not only did Sam not defend us well, she didn't even file our papers correctly. -Sam communicated with us 1 time after that case. Then, 6 months went by with no communication from Sam, despite us leaving several messages with the Law Offices of Alex Hernandez (LOAH). After leaving several messages, we finally lucked out that someone answered the phone. We were told that Sam no longer handled our case and that it was assigned to a different attorney. We were also told there was an outstanding bill of $1300 from Sam's "services". Sam provided us ZERO services after our previous zoom hearing. So there should have been no outstanding bills. -The person we spoke with said that it is policy that the new attorney should have reached out to us, and that they would have our new attorney call us. After months of no communication, we attempted to call and leave messages several times demanding a refund of our retainer and the previous bills we paid for Sam, as she did not perform her job correctly. All of our messages were ignored. In fact, my husband was even hung up on mid-sentence. -We decided to leave a bad review online. The very next day, we were contacted by LOAH. They asked "what can we do to make this right?" We wanted to wrap up this case badly, so we said we would be willing to continue working with the LOAH if they provided us an attorney that would actually communicate in a timely manner. The apologized for our previous experience and said they had an attorney named Kristi Kneedler that would contact us and take on our case. They said in order for us to continue utilizing their services we would need to remove our review because it's a "conflict of interest". We removed our review. -Kristi contacted us and worked on our case. She was very polite and easy to talk to. She communicated regularly and effectively. She stated she filed our lawsuit on our behalf. We then received a bill for the time it took Kristi to review our case. After our previous bad review we were told we wouldn't be charged for case review for the next attorney. We had to call and have these charges removed. -Then, on 3/8/23, Kristi reached out to us to let us know that she no longer works for LOAH, and that a new attorney from LOAH would contact us soon. Well, it's been 3 weeks. There has been ZERO communication from LOAH. And we found out that Kristi did not in fact file our lawsuit for us. We've called and left messages on answering machines and with secretaries. They have not returned our call. Today, we reached out to Kristi and asked if she happened to have a different phone number we could call to reach LOAH. She replied "I'm sorry. I don't work there anymore. I can't help you." -So, here we are again. A SECOND bad review. We are filing a grievance with the Texas State Bar. We will also be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint. We are also filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office.

Hired the Alex Hernandez law firm to handle a civil matter. Paid a $1900 retainer that they never applied to any bills and just kept it. I paid all legal expenses and the $1900 never went to any bills. I called and texted about 20 times to request a breakdown to show where the $1900 went. Only respon...d I got was “Upper management is reviewing. They never reviewed or explained where the money went. Do not use these people. Can never get in touch with the lawyers. They never call you back or give you any updates about your case. Refuse to return retainer when they never used it. They will assign 5 different lawyers to your case because they don’t know what to do or quit. This is not a law firm. These are just individual attorneys that come together through this so called law firm to get Clients.

I was aggressively pursued for my business, they took my money, then shuffled me around attorneys in the office, then the ghosting. First attorney, Rene Zarazua had tole me the law firm I was suing had a box of items for me to call him to set up and collect these items, I called and emailed to set th...at up, totally ghosted. Then I was shuffled to David Leffman, who lied and said he gets results usually in 24-48 hours. That was in December 2022. Then he responded that he HAD emailed me, straight up lie. I am happy to provide my computer for a forensic search to PROVE that was a lie. Then he claimed to have sent a letter to the firm I am suing. So a month goes by and nothing, just the usual ghosting grift that they are synonymous with. Horrible experience. RUN don’t walk away from the firm of Alex Hernandez!

I hired Alex r hernandez in Dallas tx office in October to file suit against my contractor. Paid initial retainer they sent letter to contractor zero communication during that 60 days until to move forward to take him to court January 24th asked for an additional retainer of 2700. Told them wanted a ...break down of first retainer been 2 months and nothing. Asked when going to court found out the lawyer I had from the beginning Moses had left the firm in Jan but they had me sign a retainer on 24th of January to go to court but did not bother to tell mey lawyer left the firm so they decided that I would go to court and my lawyer does not even work there but cashed my 2700 retainer. Would not recommend don't have competent people there just want your money. Can not reach anyone at the firm to get my retainer back and stop their representation so I can higher a competent attorney to go to court with.
