Find someone else who cares.

I chose Mr. Hallam's firm for a 2nd DUI charge. I spoke to Mr. Hallam on the phone. He made extreme promises without knowing all of the details of my case. I went in and spoke with another lawyer who was supposed to represent me in court. He asked me to complete 4 homework assignments. When I let him... know I had completed them he didn't even bother getting them from me. They were a waste of my time as the law firm didn't follow up on them. On the day of my case I walk in and a new "lawyer" is there. He asks me where I work (even though I've already provided that info to the firm). I tell him three times as he can't remember and keeps saying it wrong. Granted, it was a restaurant so it isn't hard to pronounce or long. He then asks me for a pen to write it down. Seriously? You don't have a pen? At this point even though I wasn't originally planning to take the plea I had to because I could tell that this guy had been to court max twice and was very fragile. He also tells me I have to accept the plea because the officer wasn't there. I walk in and the officer is there. When we go up all he has to do is say I'm taking the plea. The guy is sweating and shaking. He literally must've gotten his license the day before. Long story short, I wish I would've gone with a smaller firm that actually cares about their clients and sends experienced lawyers who know your case. I try to call the law firm several times to express how unsatisfied I was. Each time the receptionist tells me someone will call me back. When no one does I dispute the charges with my bank. After getting the dispute from my bank Mr. Hallam calls my cell phone at 10pm on a weeknight. I didn't answer because I didn't know the number. He then calls again back to back. When I answer he threatens that this is going to end very badly for me if I don't tell my bank to reverse the dispute and that I don't want to deal with a bunch of lawyers going after me. I had to tell him several times that he needed to speak with the bank and not me. I eventually had to hang up on him.

It's funny, but sad, that most things in life come down to MONEY. Kristina did indeed hire our Law Firm to represent her on her "2nd DUI within 5 years" Class 1 Criminal charge, with a significantly raised/high Blood Alcohol Concentration level, She was facing 2 YEARS IN JAIL,with 30 days of it being a Mandatory Minimum due to it's being a 2nd DUI within such a short period of time from her first DUI conviction, and because of her significantly high BAC. Due to our Law Firm's hard work, strategies and tactics,we were able to convince the Prosecutor to only give her 20 days mandatory jail time instead of the up to 1 year in jail that she was originally facing! A great outcome, right? Well,Katrina's case was finalized in August,2016,( a full 4 MONTHS PRIOR to her writing this negative review here). She also obviously believed it was a good outcome, otherwise she would not have waited 4 months to write a negative review? Then why did she write this negative review in December? The answer lies in MONEY!!! Katrina filed a REFUND REQUEST with her bank to cancel the money she had already paid to us by Credit Card and have all that she had paid us removed from our Law Firm Bank Account. Katrina gave the Bank her written version of why she should get her money back from us through the Credit Card dispute process, similar to what she has written here. Pursuant to the Bank Credit Card refund dispute process, we were encouraged to write our version of our representation of Katrina, which we did and,of course it 100% disputed her negative version. After the Bank received both of our versions, they ruled 100% in OUR FAVOR,denying Katrina's demand that the money she had paid us should be returned to her for the "alleged" bad legal work we had done for her. You can now see the "Punch Line" coming-Katrina only filed this negative here AFTER the Bank RULED AGAINST her,and FOR US!

You get what you pay for

Keith Hallam has to be one of the most unprofessional lawyers out there. During the initial consultation he makes it seem like he is the most assessible and knowledgeable attorney out there and even offers reasonable payment plans. I was convinced I was getting one of most thorough attorneys in the a...rea. But the minute the ink dried on the contract I signed that's when the problems began. This man is impossible to reach and I do mean impossible. I would text him via phone and email him with no response from him or his staff for weeks. He would constantly cancel meetings with me due to constant illnesses and his own staff would never have him return my calls, even if I had court the next day. I even texted him one night asking about my case and he had no idea who I was. He doesnt even save his own client"s number!!!! He only communicated with me if he thought I was late on a payment and even sent me a nasty text saying I owed an amount to him that was completely inaccurate . In other words, if you need to speak to him he is unavailable but when he thinks you owe him money he hounds and harasses you. On top of that, he never came prepared for court. He had me bring in documents the day of court and quickly scanned over them minutes before a preliminary hearing . He encouraged me to take plea deals over going to court to fight for my innocence . Despite him having years of experience , he comes off very meek and timid around prosecutors which is why they don't give him great offers . I watched him sheepishly defend me to this brash prosecutor and couldn't help but stratch my head wondering why I had hired such a timid man. I would def not recommended this lawyer to my friends and family. He was able to reduce my charges but I still was forced to take a plea that required jail time despite having no prior convictions all because he wasn't "confident " going to court. I honestly could have gotten a court appointed lawyer , saved myself $3000 and still gotten the same outcome . Avoid if you want someone who will be attentive and fight for you. Hire if you are truly desperate or having financial problems.

First, to put this client's negative review into perspective, I invite you to read here the other Fourteen, 4 and 5 Star very positive Reviews that I have been honored to receive from very satisfied former clients over a number of years. As you can see, the person who left this negative review has chosen to not identify themselves, not even with a first name. As an attorney, I cannot tell you who this person is, nor identify them in any way. This is a wonderful protection for the words of this unreasonable, ungrateful and inaccurate client who misrepresents facts, takes issues out of context, and leaves out 99% of the rest of the positive facts; but, it leaves me,the attorney, with both arms tied behind my back when it comes to defending myself. This client's charge was a very serious Felony which could have resulted in them going to Prison for up to 20 years and branded a "Convicted Felon" for the rest of their life. But, through my significant efforts over many months, (and two major court dates), this client's charge was dramatically reduced to a misdemeanor with a weekend in jail. Contrary to this person's statement that they were "forced" to take a misdemeanor plea because I wasn't confident going to court, I repeatedly told this client that I was always ready and willing to take her Felony case to trial but, instead, the client chose for themselves to accept the misdemeanor plea/weekend in jail option I had created. In fact , I had told the client repeatedly that I thought we had quite a favorable chance of winning at a jury trial, but the client chose the option of a minimized misdemeanor plea rather than risk the chance,no matter how small, of losing at a felony jury trial. In addition, as to the issue of "Fee", I gave this client a very generous extended payment plan, allowing them to pay their Fee over a period of 6 months-yet,every single payment made by this client was late and there is still a significant outstanding balance overdue! You see, there are at least 2 sides to every story

Accomplished, knowledgeable, expert with excellent follow-thru who delivers on the outcome promised!

Mr. Hallam is a very accomplished and knowledgeable attorney with a positive, can-do attitude. He is confident and assertive in both the courtroom and negotiating with the opposition. With clients, Mr. Hallam is patient and understanding. He has excellent follow through and successfully delivers o...n the outcome he promises. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone in need of a top-notch attorney to win any type of criminal or traffic case -- be it the most complicated or run-of-the-mill. I recently received a false citation for reckless driving after my unoccupied vehicle malfunctioned and rolled into two other vehicles. The ticketing officer lied and said I was driving. Mr. Hallam was the sixth attorney I spoke with about my citation, but he was the first attorney who was able to gain my confidence that he could and would get my case dismissed. This is because Mr. Hallam took the time to thoroughly understand my case. In fact, when we first spoke, I was pleasantly surprised to realize that he had already carefully read all my case related documents previously faxed to his office. Mr. Hallam then spent nearly two hours patiently discussing every aspect of the charges levied against me including all possible outcomes. By the end of our conversation, I knew Mr. Hallam had the professional background and expert knowledge of my case to get it dismissed. At court, the police officer stubbornly resisted the dismissal of my case. Therefore, Mr. Hallam spent two hours patiently deliberating the facts with both the officer and the prosecutor. Ultimately, because he had excellent preparation and a thorough knowledge of my case details, he was able to reveal that the officer had no proof of the charges, and so the prosecutor dismissed my case entirely. Mr. Hallam is a knowledgeable, honest, and expert attorney, who has a confident demeanor that was reassuring every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of legal help.

Professional and Superior in Every Way.

Mr. Hallam continuously exceeded all expectations. I fielded about a dozen attorneys before choosing Mr Hallam, and my choice could not have been better. Very knowledgeable, professional, respectful, and experienced, there Mr. Hallam fought for me and delivered results better than many of the other ...attorneys promised. You will not be disappointed!!
