Aggressive advocate: DUI amended to Reckless Driving

Ms. Medvin (but you can call her her Marina) resolved my case one month earlier and to a much better conclusion than I originally expected in U.S. District Court. I faced a DUI and DUI refusal (refusal to take a breath test) after accidentally driving into the wrong place while in a poor condition. I...t helped some that I had actually taken and passed a portable breathalyzer test, but did refuse a second breath test and failed a field sobriety test. The prosecution offered 1 day of jail to plead guilty to DUI only; Marina found that completely unacceptable. She eventually negotiated a plea deal for reckless driving that avoided jail and suspension of my license. She even followed through on helping me with the post-hearing process and paperwork so that I could get out of the court building in a timely manner. Marina gave the impression that I had a fighter in my corner and that I was someone who had made a mistake, not some kind of "bad guy." She conveyed this through just a couple phone calls and a few emails, then appeared in court confident and ready. Marina had an excellent court-side manner, explaining her strategy as we went along, while making it clear that the decisions were ultimately mine to make. Hire her if available.

Very experienced, always on.

For a first time offender who had no clue how the legal system worked, Marina was a godsend. One conversation and you can tell she's exceedingly bright. She's a genuine person that really seems to care about her clients. She was also scary fast at returning my calls and replying to my emails - did no...t matter if it was 8:00AM or 10:00PM, I never waited longer than 45 minutes. She patiently and efficiently explained every part of my discovery; what, per Code, would be my sentence if convicted; how she could get the charges down or dismissed; and, what happens after a trial or plea bargain is agreed to. She was amazingly calm on the day of court, explaining the process and providing play-by-play in a way in which someone who does not have a law degree could understand. She seems to have a good working relationship, due to her years of experience, with the prosecutors in my jurisdiction. Because of that and her skills as a trial lawyer, she was able to successfully negotiate a plea deal resulting in zero days jail time - not what we were expecting but forever grateful. In other words: she's the best, just do it.

Reckless Driving charge dismissed

Marina took my charge of reckless driving that was committed in broad daylight on a federally owned parkway. I was looking at possibly serving up to 6 months in jail. She was able to convince the federal prosecutor to drop the charges and I ended up pleasing guilty to a lesser charge of driving on gr...ass for which the fine was $30. Worth every penny. Her preparation, planning, and working behind the scenes before the trial date paid off in my dismissal. Absolutely endorse her skills and recommend her for all types of criminal defense.

Reckless Driving Amended to Speeding

I was charged with reckless driving (85/55 in Fairfax, Va) early on a Sunday morning. I immediately panicked, and started searching for lawyers. Ms. Medvin continually came up in my search with positive reviews, and her track record was impressive on her website. I decided to contact Ms. Medvin imme...diately, and I am so thankful I did. Ms. Medvin was responsive right from the start, replying to my initial email (on said Sunday) within hours. Her team provides very detailed instructions on what to do/information to collect/etc, and is readily available to answer questions. Ms. Medvin responded to many of my questions personally. My day in court could not have gone smoother. Ms. Medvin took my case off the docket for negotiation, and within an hour, she had reached a deal. My reckless driving ticket was amended to a speeding ticket, and was reduced 21mph (64/55). Incredible! Once I agreed to those terms (a simple signature), we walked into the court room and were out in about 10 minutes. I paid the $150 fine, plus court fees, and could put this behind me! I am so thankful for the help of Ms. Medvin. The entire experience could not have gone better, and I am overjoyed with the outcome. If you are ever in need of an attorney, do not hesitate to retain Ms. Medvin!!
