After ending up in a jail and needing assistance I told my family to visit AVVO to find a 5 star lawyer. My former lawyer was giving me one quote and I tried to find another person to take on my case. Maronick agreed but things escalated and their entire team was unprofessionally handling my case. ... I had a solicitor visit - not a lawyer. Not one when I had hired this team did I see an actual lawyer - even after retaining Mr. Maronick he passed the case to one of his other defense lawyers. This was not our intensions and we never would even have paid to retain Mr. Maronick had we known this was his plan. He sent a Nick numerous times to meet and attempt to help us... this was awful. Nick showed up in a wrinkled suit, disheveled beard and missing theeth. I realized how badly I chose my help at that point. Not only was dealing with Nick useless, he had no real idea as to the inditement process and tried to 'upsell' a new charge being added. The reality I learnt from sitting in the legal library was Nick had no real idea what was happening and his advice was terrible. We chose to walk away when my family went for a meeting and was told numerously high off the wall prices for the case and left with no real help. This jackwagon even threatened to SUE us because he refused to give us our paperwork back.... Never again.

I retained then January of 2023. I have been lied to for eight months. I have a 23 year old misdermeanor probation violation. They say they are working on it and will keep me informed. Only called me four times. Said motion to recall warrant filed but clerk sheriff office said nothing has been filed.... Have been arrested since I hired them on this charge. I would not use them again for anything. They say they handle the tough cases but can't handle a probation violation.

Tried to change the cost of services 3 weeks before the trial, because they "didn't know" that the case had multiple charges. One of the first things I did was give them the case number. Eventually backed down after explaining how messed up it is for them to wait this long to ask for additional ch...arges. Told Thomas Maronick that thanks to the lack of communication and inconsistent price and lack of reliability, I wanted him off my case. After Thomas Maronick explained how I lucky I was to talk to him on the weekend, I told him I would rather risk a lawyerless trial than continue with his lawfirm. Also told the judge and the assigned lawyer I wanted his lawfirm removed. 2 weeks after the first trial, he has not removed his lawfirm from my case. I have called, and was told I would receive a call from them yesterday. They never called. They are actively sabotaging me by keeping their name on my case when I am trying to get a public defender. I originally gave them a good rating, assumed this was a rough period. But I need them off, I have nothing good to say about Mr. Maronick and his lawfirm, other than I met a knowledgeable lawyer, and friendly receptionists.
