Flexible, exactly the help we needed!

A. Slepian was upfront about costs and scheduling, he checked to make sure our appointment was ready and happy to provide any help prior to arrival. We used him for a general consultation though he clearly specializes in handling the full immigration process, especially for more dramatic or difficult... cases. For us he was willing to work hard and answer any questions we had without trying to sell us anything we didn't need, and if he didn't know the answer he promised to look it up and get back to us. He was exactly the kind of expert we needed. He easily saved us about 2 weeks of work and was amazingly easy to contact. As an extra note, while is office was a little difficult to find (it was not yet listed in the building directory) it is in a beautiful building in a very accessible part of Buffalo. Thank you!

Great lawyer.

Andrew was great from start to finish, really upfront about costs, schedules and what he thought we needed to do for a realistic outcome. Andrews easy to get ahold of, and explained everything, every step of the way.

Failed To Do The Job And Refused To Refund.

I had an urgent case that I needed to file in 2 weeks, he showed interest and promised that he can file it in 2 weeks. What he did not mention though is that he had 300 clients at the time, which is why he ended up exceeding twice the duration he promised, and yet he refused to refund me anything! ... - He promised to file my URGENT application in 2 weeks. 5 weeks passed and he never filed it. The whole first weeks was gone because he was busy in a family dinner! (I would have understood if it was an emergency). - He lost files that I signed in his office (with my wife), then he claimed that my wife and I signed different papers and I should make new ones and send them to him. He did not even had the decency nor the manners to even apologize for losing my files. - In the beginning, he was nice and polite, but after I paid him 1500$ he became terribly rude, very careless and horribly disrespectful. Careless enough to make terrible mistakes in my application that would change my case ENTIRELY. - He kept asking me to do things differently on my application and get more documents, I felt that he was buying himself the time but I was hoping that he is doing the right thing. But at the last minute, he started asking for documents that don’t make sense and would take a lot of time to get, which he NEVER mentioned at any time, and most importantly, those extra documents do not exist on the USCIS requirements. - He knew that I hired him because he has an office in Rochester that he often comes to, while his main office is in Buffalo. When I told him that I want to terminate his service (after I lost 5 weeks without my application being completed nor filed), he said that if I need my application, it’s going to be in Buffalo office so I have to drive over 70 miles to get my papers (instead of bringing them to Rochester whenever he gets the chance), and he clarified that there will be NO REFUND. After a sequence of emails, he added that he can mail the application to me if I paid for the shipping, Needless to say, his multiple responses were not polite!!!

Hi sir, As an attorney, the continued success of my business is dependent on achieving positive results for the client. Honesty and communication are critical when working with a client. From my point of view, it is the only way to succeed in this business. Your situation was one which required quick, but careful, attention. The need to file a thoroughly-vetted case was most important, and at the point you demanded we file, even though significant time had been spent on the file, I did not feel as though we were ready. Additional documentation was necessary to provide you with the best chance moving forward. However, it is my fault for not better explaining my point of view. The only promise I made was to file the best application for you, as fast that I could. I am sorry for any misunderstanding as my intent was only to present your best possible case. Despite your feelings towards me, I remain available if you wish to contact me. Yours truly, Andrew Slepian, Esq.
