Before contacting Mr. Medows, I was skeptical about even trying to fight my ticket, especially after reading that it’s nearly impossible to win in Staten Island. I had never received a speeding ticket before, so I was completely bummed to find out I got one in the toughest district to beat them. They couldn’t tell me who would actually represent me, and although they claimed a 90% win rate, they admitted they had no specific data on traffic ticket success in Staten Island. Mr. Medows was the second lawyer I called and I immediately appreciated how direct, honest, and purposeful he was. He didn’t sugarcoat how hard it is to win in that district, and he didn’t waste my time with vague promises. I also researched his reviews and saw a consistent pattern: even in cases he didn’t win, he helped clients save money and time, sometimes delay

I notified James meadows on January 3, 2025 regarding my court appearance on 1/7 yes a few days away. During my consultation I was very transparent on the short notice and that I have been fighting my case since 2021 and was rescheduled 3 times and unable to reschedule again. I wanted to know if ...at this point it made any sense to hire him or if I was better off on my own. In response he told me that without him I’m a fish in the water. So I told him I will proceed and he responded by saying “great, I would love to take your money” which I found weird. Let me tell you all that’s exactly what he did. He appeared on my behalf and I paid him 415$ to do absolutely nothing. Not only was I found guilty for both tickets (red light and driving with suspended license) I got 3 points on my license and 1k in fines. His response was he was unable to get it rescheduled and ny doesn’t plead bargain. Which was what I already told him since the beginning he used against me. I hope everyone reading this I can save them the hassle and a few bucks. Do not hire this man he will scam you. I’m sure he will respond trying to defend his actions of course but believe me when I say DO NO RETAIN THIS LAWFIRM you will regret it and loose your money. BTW HE DID NOT REPRESENT ME SNOTJER ATTORNEY DID.

I wish there were an option to give 0 stars, as even 1 star is far too generous. I had an extremely negative experience with James Medows and “his Law Firm”. They delayed progress on my case for two years, during which time I often had to handle tasks that should have been their responsibility. Th...ey failed to respond to the court's requests, ignored opportunities to negotiate a deal, and did not appear in court on my behalf. Additionally, getting in contact with James Medows and “His firm” was nearly impossible, making the situation even more frustrating. James Medows is incompetent. This lack of reliability and communication forced me to request a refund. I STRONGLY ADVISE against using this firm for any legal matters. I ultimately decided to fire James Medows and handle the case myself, which led to everything being dismissed. The situation almost resulted in my license being suspended. If I hadn't received notices from the court and acted quickly to resolve the matter, I would have been driving with a suspended license. I have evidence to substantiate my claims. "It’s all or nothing”… and unfortunately, in this case, it was nothing but a disgrace." You may boast about your '1000+ reviews,' but if potential clients saw how you handled my case, I assure you, no one would consider hiring you as their lawyer.
