My experience with James Meadows was disappointing! I used his services before I which he got a case for me DISMISSED also I was excited to go to him again and retain him for his services on a ticket in Brooklyn worth 2 points. I contacted him after the hearing and he told me HE NEVER APPEARED becaus...e the Judge assigned to the trial was a judge that “would of convicted me regardless” ! I was confused and hurt then he urged me to just plead guilty and pay the fine !! And he would refund me my money back ..I was disappointed because I expected him to still try to fight my ticket and try to win but to NOT SHOW and try to urge to me pay the fine and get the points because he was basically intimidated by the Judge was ridiculous!! I guess you never know with him

When I first approached James about defending me for a traffic ticket I had received (20 Over the speed limit) he seemed confident that he could assist with completely removing the ticket or at least reducing it. $500 & 3 years later (All he did was postpone the court date for as long as he could) I... was found guilty of going 15 mph over the speed limit instead of 20 (which according to him may help reduce the increase insurance cost.) 11-20 MPH over the speed limit in NY incurs the same 4 point penalty on your license. I had to pay the ticket of about $200 and am now paying a higher insurance premium. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON HIM. If you want to fight a ticket go to someone who could probably help and not just collect and postpone the date for you. I could have done that myself and been found guilty all the same.

Hired this attorney and paid his $500 fee (which is double what other attorneys charge) because I thought that since he charges more he must get better results. NOPE! The result was I was guilty of a 6 point speeding ticket and paid over $500 in fines and insurance went up. He is a great salesman on ...the phone and real quick to say he is the best and to leave a good review after just speaking to him but my results with him speak for themselves. Customer beware.

I wish he would've been honest and upfront with me to just pay the ticket or to go to a different lawyer. I let him know that I was not in a good financial position and he still charged over $500. All he did was postpone trial twice, which I could have done myself or which any lawyer could do. At the... end of the trial I was found guilty and have to pay the dmv another $650. If I am ever in this situation again or had to make a recommendation I would suggest to go for a cheaper lawyer, one can be found for about $200-$250 or less. This was my first time in a situation like this I was young and naive and was led to believe that his bigger price tag would lead to a better outcome.
