Caring, thoughtful, smart and to the point. That's Not what I was expecting from a lawyer. But that's James

James stand out from all the other attorneys in the room. And it's not because of his selection of suits but because she is honest knowledgeable and frankly straight up into the point. Out of all the other attorneys in the court room James would always fight hard for me rather than stay quiet and wai...t for the next court date. He is a true professional and the help me out tremendously. If you're looking for someone to get you out of a jam James will go above and beyond to make it happen. Highly recommend him for anyone who's looking for an attorney.

Let James Medows Work For YOU

I found James Medows to be very knowledgeable, trustworthy, understanding and hard-working. From the very beginning of my journey through the court system he was there for me, explaining everything, and providing essential, sound, legal advice. He doesn't make any false promises. What he does is ...work tirelessly for you in order to ensure the best possible outcome for your case. He has a very good rapport with the assistant district attorneys, district attorney and judges. He explained every step of the process to me throughout my court case, negotiated diligently on my behalf, and secured the best possible outcome. Most important, James was there for me to answer any questions that I posed to ease my mind at all times, both inside and especially outside of court on his own time. He also helped me greatly in personal issues and other matters on the periphery of my case. I can write this review in the comfort of my own home due to the hard work of James Medows. If you want an honest lawyer that you can rely on and REALLY work for you, I certainly recommend Mr. Medows.

Forcefully accused

Mr. Medows was highly recommended to me. My family was in a crisis and I called Mr. Medows. I explained the situation and he got right on it. He said relax, stay calm and he would handle it and he did. Mr. Medows contacted all parties involved and my son was released the next day and all charges w...ere dropped. Mr. Medows is dependable, reliable , you can call on him at anytime and a great attorney who gets the job done.

Retaining James' services was one of the best decisions I've made

I don't know if its possible for a criminal case to be a positive experience, but if so, working with James made it about as bearable as possible. Highly Recommended for a number of reasons. I am an artist and was arrested for graffiti in Brooklyn, I was referred his among a few others' services a...fter asking my public defender at arraignment (court demanded private counsel for me). I went in for a consultation and it became clear James did not know this public defender who had recommended him - which I saw as a very good sign attesting to his reputation. James was able to get my charges reduced in a way that, to me, was nothing short of magical. I personally know people who have been charged with the same infractions, and they did not receive anywhere near the same outcome I received with James' services. His knowledge and professionalism saved me a small mountain of time and money. There are a few reasons I would suggest his services to anyone in a similar situation. First off, he's smart - was very knowledgable yet also pragmatic and focused when discussing the outcomes surrounding my case. Second, he's sociable and extremely alert. As odd as it sounds, this was, in my estimation, probably the most crucial element of getting the deal I got - he scheduled an informal meeting with the district attorney and as he put it, "for the price of a cup of coffee", was able to reach a better deal for me, getting misdemeanors dropped down to a violation, reduced punishment, etc. The deal ended up working out even better down the road, once again because of his knowledge of the court's daily operations and day-to-day players. He seemed to know everyone in the courtroom at the time and genuinely care about them on a personal level. Last, he's affordable, and it was immediately obvious to me that he is not concerned about price gouging. In my specific case he helped me with a few details post-sentence that went above and beyond our retainer agreement. He didn't have to do that. As Goethe said, "You can judge a man's character by how he treats someone with whom he has nothing to gain." Also, he's got great style. Couldn't be happier with his services or recommend him more highly. To put it colloquially, he rules.

Supportive, competent, a great lawyer

My son had a violation of protection order against him (which was not intentional), for which he turned himself in. The day & process was long & arduous. However, Mr Medows responded immediately to my calls & texts, explained everything, & came and sat with me while I was waiting. In the courtroom, I... could not have been happier with his defense. There was no guarantee my son would leave the same day, but he got him out. The prosecuter asked for $10,000 bail & we left with no bail on his own recognizance. I can't tell you how grateful I am to James Medows.
