In short, it MATTERS who you choose to represent you in a court. In retrospect, this statement is self-evident, but I learned this fact the hard way. I recently had a matter in the local municipal court and as I live out of the state, I began a search for an attorney. I researched attorneys in the area to represent me in court as I would be unable to attend the hearing due to logistics.
