DUI Dismissed

Travis came highly recommended through a law school associate. Receiving a DUI as the result of a motor vehicle accident where blood is taken is a hard charge to beat. Travis was able to identify faults in the collection process and as a result all charges were dismissed. Wouldn't have anyone else de...fend me.

Restraining Order

I was facing a Restraining Order full of lies!! This was an very serious problem for me because I'm a man of integrity and good reputation. I have an awesome Government job that requires special federal licenses that are very hard to obtain. I was falsely accused of hitting my x-girlfriend, stalking..., starving and harassing her simply because out of care and concern after receiving a text message break-up and a 6 month silent treatment; I contacted her Pastor and sent her an e-mail asking if she was okay and suggested we go for counseling. Travis and Chris sprung into action with very little notice and got my case dismissed. This is the best law firm I have ever dealt with!! If you are in trouble don't even give it a second thought, hire this law firm!!!

Case dismissed with Data Driven Facts

Travis dealt my case with passion, professionalism and punctuality. The flat fee was very reasonable for the amount of effort that had to be put in the case (4 hearings). Travis helped me arrange all the data I had gathered for my defense. His thoroughness with my case and his knowledge of the law we...re quite evident when he presented the closing summary in front of the judge. I would highly recommend him to prospective clients.

Respectful. Attentive. Professional.

I had never been in trouble with the law up until a few months ago. Although, not the most severe of crimes I was still worried of the potential ramifications (eg. possibly losing my job, unable to acquire a new position, embarrassment, etc.). Tormey Law Firm treated me with respect from the moment I... spoke with him on the phone and was direct and concise on the possible outcomes and how we would proceed with the case. I was in a bind and they really helped me a lot! Particularly, Christopher Perry, he dealt specifically with my case and answered all of my one-million questions with patience and a smile. I could not be happier with the outcome. Thank you once again!

Trespassing and Under the Influence Disorderly Persons charges

I was arrested in October in NJ. I was taken the hospital and then released on my own recognizance. I went in for processing and received two disorderly persons charges. As I live in NYC I didn't initially put as much effort as I should have into it. I knew the date and tried to figure out if I could... represent myself. Eventually the date was coming up and I didn't have transportation to NJ (it's three or four hours by public transportation options). I found reviews online that were very positive for the Tormey law firm and called them up. A friendly young woman named Samantha helped me get sorted out right away. She scheduled my court appearance for a date much further in the future which allowed me to have some time to get everything together. She called the court and had the prosecutors information sent over. About five days before I was scheduled to appear I talked to my lawyer, a man named Chris. He informed me what was likely to happen and told me he could pick me up from the train stop and drop me off after the court appearance. On the day of, we went in, and everything went smoothly. The Judge seemed to be a very fair man and suggested a cheaper alternative for me than the solution we were going for. Conditional Dismissal instead of Conditional Discharge which saved me about $400 dollars. The firms overall price of $1500 may seem like a lot initially but even after the court date was over I've had a few questions which have been answered in a prompt fashion and I was happy to have the professionalism of the firm at my side while going up. Some of the lawyers I saw in court were considerably less professional. In the end, I believe you get what you pay for. Perhaps I could have skated by with a less expensive lawyer, and maybe in my case (out of state resident, steady job as an engineer, decently spoken and dressed, relatively innocuous first time charges in municipal court) I could have gotten the same results. That being said, each time I got one of those pesky legal notices in the mail it always freaked me out a bit (it is my future we're dealing with after all) and the peace of mind I received through my communications with the Tormey law firm have left me feeling that it was worth every penny. I shall certainly be using their services for the expungement of my records in about a year or so and would certainly (although I hope I don't ever have to) recommend them to anyone with trouble in New Jersey.
