If I was asked 19 years ago or 10 years ago, the reviews would be higher-because honestly, Mr. Sossi handled two different family matters with professionalism and with relative ease. In fact, when I retained Mr. Sossi 10 years ago, I lived in California and reached out to him to handle a situation th...rough the Texas courts. Hence why I consulted him on a more recent situation without hesitation. My current experience with Mr. Sossi has taken a turn and not for the better. I consulted with Mr. Sossi and paid a retainer. I did not sign the contract as things changed fairly quickly with my situation. I emailed Mr. Sossi to request a refund, which he agreed to send. This was six months ago and no refund. I was told via email, a text message, and by phone that the money was sent or would be sent. It would have been better to indicate that no refund will be sent opposed to stringing me along for months. I would have preferred to handle this privately.

Do not use matt sossi as an attorney. He is unprofessional, will only contact you when he needs something and lies to you about the contract. He rushed us in the final day of my divorce and i was even told that he never brought up my offers to the other attorney to try to come to an agreement. He wen...t out of his way to try to get extra money out of it. I have emails from him where he disrespects me continuously. There was never one point when i thought he was a good hire but he is the perfect example of getting what you pay for. I had terms with my ex wife and somehow he was able to make it so i ended up paying more and got totally screwed in every way. He also kept giving me fake deadlines telling me we had to be done by noon at 11:50 then 12:01 came around and he switched it to 1:30. He will try to argue every part of this but i will gladly show anyone my correspondence with him. I have let the texas bar know and i implore people to stay away from him.

I hired Matthew Sossi after he was recommended to me by a work associate who is a father like me, and who had a fair and successful resolution to his divorce. I wanted a modification to my divorce orders so I can guarantee that I can continue to have my kids in Catholic school and to lower my chil...d support payments. I like how Matthew Sossi tells you how much a phase of the legal battle will cost, charge you for it, and will not ask for more money until that phase is completed. He does not nickle and dime you. Matthew is also honest with you in regards to estimating whether or not you can win a particular argument. I think he leans toward caution on whether or not you can win a judgement. He wants you to know that there is a factor of the unknown regarding what the various judges will decide. Regarding my own court battle, I can say that when faced with a judge against my former spouse and her attorney, Matthew Sossi won 3 of the 4 decisions up for deliberation. The other attorney spoke more, but Matthew stuck to the important points that were a factor in the debate, and resulted in decisions in my favor. As a result of the negotiations and court visits, I have been guaranteed that my children will complete Catholic school, in addition to lower my child support. He turned his back on me after I paid Him $7000 to take care of my divorce case , I had the upper hand first , then by him making a lot of mistakes and not returning my calls I lost everything because of him , after he told me to trust him at first , I got screwed by him ,he had too many cases to han...dle,one man operation he is No good ,he is weak be careful , I know few clients of him turn'd him to the Attorney bar for complaints , and I am going to be next to do that .
