discourteous and unaccommodating

Called to make an appointment to consult if my husband's case was viable. Asked several questions and said that someone was going to call me back. Never called me back. When I called again asking when can I meet with Ada or one of her attorneys at their AKL Law firm to consult my case. They lied... and said that they sent me an e-mail that I have never received stating that they couldn't help me. I asked why they couldn't meet with me to consult. Responded that they don't know why? All they could do is give the phone number of the King County Bar Association .

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. We make it a priority to contact individuals. Many times, our e-mails get filtered into people's spam or junk email, and I'm assuming it may have happened here. If you'd like to reach out, you can provide your name and we can look you up in our system and chat with you privately about your case instead of on this public forum. The KCBA is a place we refer many individuals to because they have a great Lawyer Referral Service that can put you in touch with the right lawyer for your type of case. I hope you're able to find someone to assist you. Again, feel free to provide your name if you wish to discuss specifics. Thank you.

Very poor follow up

Follow up and timely response is nonexistent. We spent few thousand dollars over 18 month period and got nothing out of it. They just wrote a couple letters for us. No guidance whatsoever. We would have been better of representing ourselves.

Hi, because this is a public forum, I am limited to what I can say in response. We were in contact during the course of representation and provided our assessment, including the strengths and weaknesses of your case. We allow our clients to decide whether they want to move forward. Although I strongly disagree that we did not provide you with guidance, I am sorry that you feel that way. Feel free to reach out directly if you have anything else you'd like to discuss. Thank you.

Waste of money

I was charged a very substantial fee to review a short employment contract. That my current employer wanted me to sign. The only advice I received from Ada was “this contract is unfair”. No legal advice, no real insight, just what we both knew already before the fee was paid “this contract was unfair...”. Complete waste of time and money mostly my money.

Hi, because this is a public forum, I am limited to what I can say in response to your comments. What I can say is that we would have went through the contract and pointed out all the terms that I believe was unfair for you. I assume that if my assessment was that the contract was fair, you wouldn't feel the way you do. However, I provided my honest assessment and opinion, and not all employment contracts that employers provide are fair.

Poor representation

I contacted and retained this firm to assist me to obtain justice in my workplace harassment case. This firm totally gave no real communication and eventually failed me assisting a hottie justice in my case. I strongly recommend you not consult or bring this firm if you need justice.

Hi, I believe I know who this is, and we've had extensive conversations about why we are not representing you. I am not allowed to make any detailed comments here because it's protected by attorney-client privilege, so it's a disadvantage for me on this public forum. However, I will note that you know exactly why we are not representing you. We maintain our integrity in the work that we do and the clients that we decide to represent. We fully stand by our decisions on whether we believe in our clients and their cases. We wish you the best of luck in your matter.

Ambulance Chaser, Esq.

She took my money, told me she couldn't tell me anything about my case, but to contact her at a later date for discussion. I called her office and sent her receptionist emails. She never responded. Apparently, my case didn't have the bonafides of a get-rich-quick ambulance chasing scheme, so she d...idn't even bother calling me back. Three hundred dollars down the drain. What a waste. I wish I could get paid $300/hr to tell people absolutely nothing.

Hi, I am not sure who this is (please feel free to send me a private message or email with your name if you'd like). It sounds like you paid for a consultation. Everyone that pays for a consultation receives a consultation. Based on your comment, which we always appreciate people sharing, it sounds like I told you that you may not have a meritorious case. I am very straightforward in my assessment during consultations, and if I do not believe the person has a meritorious case, I will tell the person my honest opinion. It sounds like you were not satisfied with the fact that we did not agree to represent you during the consultation. I probably also told you that if there's any new information or turn of events, you can feel free to contact us at a later time. However, that is not the same thing as me agreeing to represent you blindly. I hope you understand that sometimes my assessment is that the case may not have much merit for a lawsuit and I do not want to filter my opinion to one's liking simply because the person paid for my time. Again, feel free to send me a private message to discuss. Thank you.
