This was my first time needing a lawyer to defend me. My family and I were rear-ended by a distracted driver. There was even a time one of the providers was threatening to send our fees to collections because they refused to link the treatment to the auto accident, and Evan was quick to step in and defend us. We ended up with a fair settlement, and none of my fears of large debts from doctor's bills at the start of the case happened. All that being said, again this was my first time interacting with an attorney. I was hoping for more active guidance through the process. The lack of at least a monthly check-in sometimes made me feel in the dark. Maybe the need for a client to be proactive in communicating is just standard practice though. In the end, we're happy with the outcome. Evan Oshan is a great attorney to choose. Evan also made sure our care providers were paid in full, which was very important to us. Evan was a great help in settling a claim for the medical expenses related to a driver driving through our home, resulting in our injury. We attempted to settle with them directly but after being jerked around by the insurance company, and then failing to receive any response, we engaged Evan. I fou...nd Evan to be very reasonable and not just out to get the biggest settlement. I was disappointed with the amount of direct involvement I needed to take on to obtain medical records after a service he used wasn’t able to track them down (but did charge handsomely for their effort!). I was also frustrated by the number of times I had to send him the same information over and over again, and had I not been extremely proactive in the entire process, I feel there’s a good chance we would not have had a fair settlement.
