Consultation was very helpful

My ex husband and I did much of the divorce paperwork on our own. I took the draft documents to Bruce for him to look through and provide any suggestions. He was very thorough with the documents and had a list of questions and suggestions prepared when I met with him for one hour. Bruce was very... friendly and the atmosphere of the office is calm. Bruce put me at ease during, what could have been, a very hard conversation. I only needed Bruce for a consolation but had I needed to hire an attorney, I would hire Bruce in a heartbeat. He understands families and how the system works with divorces that involve children. If you are looking for either a consultation or to hire an attorney, I suggest meeting with Bruce.

DON'T HIRE HIM!

He charged us $58,000 and then, when we finally had our day in court, he wasn't prepared for rebuttal and completely bombed. When it came time for him to argue our case he just stood in silence while opposing counsel ripped our case to shreds. When he had the opportunity for rebuttal, he didn't say a...nything, just folded his papers. We were ordered to pay the opposing attorney because we lost. We thought he'd be great based on his peer rating, but now we know how bad he is and wouldn't recommend him to ANYONE. Numerous times we told him he was charging us more money than we could afford, but he just kept telling us we had a strong case and he thought we'd win. So we went through our savings believing what he said.

This was an extremely difficult non-parental custody case. The client wanted to vacate an adoption of the client's grandchildren which had occurred years ago. At the beginning of the case, it appeared that there was significant evidence supporting the client. However, important evidence was produced by the adoptive parents which significantly hurt the client's case. During the final hearing, the client wanted me to try to introduce evidence the judge had already excluded; this would have irritated the judge and might have caused more problems for the client. After the hearing the client chose not to appeal.

Good Advise

Mr Clement met with me over a weekend so I could get second opinion on my matter. His advise was great. I believe his experience will help a lot of people out there. I have also seen his work (another friends parenting plan) and he covers a lot of things well, such that in the future his client or ...ex-spouse have a way to appropriately deal with conflict and reach a resolution that is best for the children of divorce families. I would recommend him.

Stands apart from peers, exceptional

After coming to Bruce with a difficult appellate issue, he has provided excellent advice, spoken with great candor and given multiple and creative possible solutions. Interviewed several other attorneys with similar experience and purported expertise, this attorney significantly stands out.

A show of thanks for a job well done

The staff of The Clement Law Center are courteous and respect their clients. Atty. Bruce Clement, the principal Attorney of the center is legal expert on divorce cases. He refutes his opponent's provocative statements on a legal basis. He was able to take off a heavy load on my shoulders in the pr...oceedings for property settlement thru mediation when my ex-wife was determined not to agree on a 50/50% settlement, insisting that the settlement be 75/25% in her favor. I was very much relieved and appreciated Atty. Clement's effort when the mediator notified us that my ex-wife settled on a 50/50% basis anyway. GMO Federal Way, WA
