Mr. Carbone represented my cousin at his parole hearing in 2012. He had been denied parole two times previously. This time, thanks to Mr. Carbone's work, my cousin was recommended for parole. However, this decision was reversed by the Governor. Mr. Carbone then filed a petition for writ of habeas... corpus in the Superior Court. This petition was successful, the Court agreeing with every one of Mr. Carbone's arguments. Thanks to Mr. Carbone, my cousin, who is elderly and in poor health, can now live out his days in relative freedom.

Mr Carbone is skilled, experienced, and simply one of the best prisoner' rights attorneys ever! He is a person of the highest character, always responds to queries, and has intimate knowledge of how the Board process works and how to get good results. I say this not lightly, but as a result of workin...g with him on a case for many years. Once the tide turned in the governor's office, he was able to make the process work as it should and secure a parole. I am a lifer who is able to type this review because I am now home due in large part to the work of Charles Carbone. The first time I used Charles was following a hearing where many of my answers were of the simple "Yes/No"; Charles worked with me to improve my communication skills so that I becam...e able to talk to the commissioners and hit the points I needed to have said. Each hearing thereafter, I became better focused using Charles' mock hearing technique of asking the really hard questions. Charles got me to look at areas of my addictive behaviors that were directly relevant to my life crime. He pointed me to resources and even gave me some books to read that were particularly helpful in my development of insight. I can say, UNEQUIVOCALLY, that I was found suitable twice and then paroled because of the extraordinary work of Charles Carbone.

I have not personally met Mr. Carbone but he represented my nephew in his criminal case. My nephew got a 25 to life sentence and has been incarcarated for over 25 yrs. This was his 3rd or 4th attempt in front of the review board to determine his release which he had been denied all of the other tim...es. Mr. Carbone met with my nephew many times prior to his scheduled hearing and educated him on what he needed to do.
