My name is Shannon & I was sentenced to LWOP. BY chance I hired Charles through the recommendation of a fellow prisoner. Charles went above and beyond to help secure my freedom. My case was legally complex and at every step of the way Charles secured victories & eventually got my case back in juvenil...e court. He was very honest and transparent confident without ego, he advised me to hire another attorney to represent me in the juvenile process and at every step of the process he assisted. All the while he was still securing victories for me in the court of appeals and the California supreme court. Ultimately I was released from prison via the success we had in getting.my case back in juvenile court. I have read a few reviews on here by former clients and I respect their opinions, however this is not the lawyer nor Man I know. He made it very clear to me in the beginning that he has great Credibility with the parole board and that if I did not better myself, stay out of trouble, and actually do the rehabilive work, he would let the board know that I was not ready. I agreed to do the work and in part he provided me the tools to change. Very supportive but also very clear that he is not going to put someone back in society who does not do the work and could ultimately be a danger to society. As far as finances, he was very affordable and be it that my family is poor he agreed to a payment plan and when it was all said and done he cut the bill by thousands of dollars. I'm Greatful for Charles and the success my case became & the second chance at life.

It took a lot for my friends family to just come up with the money for him. He's been locked up since he was 22 years old and now he's in his 50s he was really hoping to get out this time because he had a good attorney on his side. Mr Carbone was supposed to visit him twice before his hearing he neve...r came to visit him at all! Did absolutely nothing to prepare him for his parole hearing and at the time of the hearing the only person that even made an objection was my friend himself. He had to take a break and tell his attorney why he was objecting then he went and objected for him and in the end he was denied parole again. This guy seems to have great reviews but in some cases he seems to have some terrible ones too he did not prepare my friend at all he really should replace his money so he can get a decent attorney because just coming up with that money was way more than he could have done his family had to have fundraisers etc just to come up with the money now he needs to find a whole other lawyer and has no money to do so what a disappointment

My husband had his parole hearing and was represented by this absolutely atrocity of a lawyer. I paid all money upfront immediately and this man had the audacity to ask the parole board to deny my husband parole. He made no argument to ask for a parole grant, he did this before the board could even a...sk for closing arguments. He outlined things that the board didn’t even ask about to make my husbands case worse. Do not hire this man, he is absolutely the worst lawyer I’ve ever worked with and he is criminal himself taking peoples money only to make their case worse off.
