I had a handful of Independent contractors three years ago, and the EDD initiated an audit claiming that they had been mis-classified. I tried working it out with the EDD since the auditor appeared to be nice and reasonable, but I quickly understood that the end game for the EDD was to reclassify irr...espective of what information I gave them.
