It seems like Liz just gave my ex everything they asked for, and more; she got more than half of our assets; and Liz didn't really understand the financial issues (real estate; defined benefit plan etc). Then Liz wanted me to agree to give her non-modifiable spousal support until she can retire (14 ...years of payments)! At least I insisted it be modifiable.. but then my big contract is cut 70% and Liz won't even talk to me about getting it changed without a thousand dollars just to meet; even after I've paid her many tens of thousands when I had income; and now I can't afford it! So now with my support and her job, my ex makes more than me and I'm struggling. Thanks for nothing Liz.
