In asking about a good criminal defense attorney, Mr. Bergeron's name was given. I contacted him and imagine my surprise when he answered his own phone (and did every time I called). Upon explaining my situation to him, he stopped me midway and told me the rest of my story. Be it a common situati...on or not, he clearly had experience in that area of the law. I was impressed. I was able to ask questions and get advice. He was very patient with me when I asked the same questions over and over for clarification. He gave me his undivided attention, even when the call lasted over an hour or two. Instead of saying "hire me", he told me that I would be okay with the public defender that I was assigned, but that I could call him and continue to consult with him about my case. Who does that? Mr. Bergeron is a professional attorney who is in business to simply help people. My case was dismissed after a year and he was there to assist me the whole time. I would meet with the PD and then speak to him. He shared his knowledge with me and I was better able to understand the legal system. We need more lawyers like him. Mr. Bergeron is an "every man's lawyer". He's not out to make a "buck" off of you. He will tell you whether or not he can help you. I would highly recommend giving him a call for a consult.
