Craig took our case on at the last minute with less than 3 weeks to resolve an extradition case that he should have had 3 months to prepare and work. On top of that, 2 of those weeks he worked were Christmas and New Years holidays! Talk about taking it down to the line! Never heard a complaint fro...m him, he answered all of my phone calls and emails promptly, went to court multiple times with us and even at times listened to me loose it and start crying. What a professional!! In the end, all was completed successfully. With 3-4 days left, we found we needed another attorney in the opposing state. Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience working with Craig Gillespie. In early 2012, I confessed to my employer that I had been embezzling money to support an out of control gambling addiction. Having never broken any laws before and being completely in the dark with how the legal proc...ess works, I was beyond scared. He was extremely professional, a great orator and clearly had a strategy in place for my defense and mitigation. Craig Gillespie skillfully negotiated a plea deal which I accepted for 1-4 years. While this was still frightening to me, it was a much better offer than the original 6-9 years. In the end, I was sentenced to 1.25 years in prison by a thoughtful judge who understood the power of addiction and who was clearly impressed by the mitigation case that Mr. Gillespie submitted. Due to an early release for good behavior, I served 7 1/2 months. In my view, Craig Gillespie saved my life and I am eternally grateful.
