After taking hold of a police officers finger, and then moving it aside because he was waving it in front of my face, I was put in some sort of defensive police hold, handcuffed, taken to jail and charged with a felony assault. A couple of weeks later the felony was lifted and we had an agreement. I would plea guilty to a no injury aggravated assault charge. I would do no jail time, pay no fines, and my probation would be unsupervised. That meant I didn't have to call or report to anyone and I could do it from my home state. Then of course, there was another court date which Michelle decided to turn into a sentencing hearing. The judge was overbooked, so she found another judge who then said she didn't do sentencing on demand. Michelle spoke with the judge and convinced her that this was the right thing to do. It saved me another court date and another round trip ticket and all the other expenses that go along with that. Michelle was articulate, cunning and aggressive. I was so relieved to have it all be finished. I was so happy with her standing by my side and pushing all the way, never giving up. Thank you Michelle!
