Reassuring go to guy for tough times

I was in search of an attorney for a messy custody issue following a divorce, bankruptcy and foreclosure. Todd got to the point when I first met with him and continued to keep me informed throughout my case. He was exceptional in protecting my rights, interest and family. Todd handled my case sim...ilar to a criminal case. He was thorough, organized and one step ahead of the other team. Todd was unique in that he knew when to stop or fight. He had several conversations with me about when to back off and ultimately save money and time with the same results. Since meeting Todd, I have recommended friends and co workers to his office for their legal issues. I was not very savvy to Civil Law when I met Todd and he made sure I understood every step that was made. He did not waste time or keep me out of the loop. He was sure to update me immediately once information was given to him from the other side. His non adversarial approach was refreshing. He made sure to fight the good fight for my case without relying on low brow tactics often used by attorneys. I trust this man 100% with my legal issues. During such a stressful time for me and my family, I always had a feeling of assurance knowing Todd was watching over my case. In short, Todd was more like a friend who would watch my back and take a bullet for me than an attorney who is willing to settle right out of the gate. Thank you Todd for your professional service to me and my family.

Great help at a difficult time

Todd handled my divorce with great care and professionalism. My spouse and I decided to end our marriage after more than 15 years together. It was not a nasty situation, but it did require significant negotiation because of the ages of our children and our financial situation. Todd worked extremely w...ell with opposing counsel, allowing me to have the results I wanted, in the time that I desired. Todd thoroughly explained the process to me and was attentive to my budgetary constraints. Todd proved himself to be a highly effective and highly supportive attorney. I would absolutely recommend Todd.

I would not hire this Attorney for Divorce

Mr Burnham did nothing he said he would or could do and after 7 months I was pretty much destitute and starving to death as he was still arguing and wasting money with Apposing Counsel. Should maybe stick to Other areas of Law. Not a good Divorce Lawyer.

During the initial consultation, I always reinforce the importance of being truthful and forthright especially with respect to allegations that concern a client's exposure to bad facts that require a plan to rehabilitate their credibility and reinforce the client's commitment to the children. Clients are provided choices at this firm, and if advice is regularly disregarded after comprehensive discussions, then continuing in the professional relationship is neither in the client's best interests nor commensurate with the firm's ethical standards.
