Not worth it, better off pro se.

Hired Curtis because he was confident I had a good case, given all the details, and as a first time offender, I didnt know any better and was hopeful he could help. He was smart with his words but ultimately got me for a huge retainer, and did nothing. Didn't communicate well with what i needed to do... and was frustrated when i didnt do it. Said we were gonna waste the courts time until they got tired of me and dismissed my case. My time was the only one wasted, he then basically said i was screwed. Didnt fight for evidence, police footage, didnt argue my side, or police mistakes, didnt argue whats so ever. Still ended up in the same situation i would have been without him. House arrest, probation, community service, 38 weeks alcohol classes, interlock, whole 9 yards. Above all, what really got me, was seeing him be real good buddies with the DA. Talking personal trips and weekend plans. Cant help but think this crooked system has no intention of justice, only the money they can drain you for. Its what fills their pockets, both the courts and the lawyers.

A curious and unfortunate review. Posted anonymously so I don't know who this is. It doesn't sound like one of our clients. We don't treat clients the way described (see other reviews). One of our strengths is regular and ongoing communication from both me and my staff. We use over three decades of experience to obtain the best possible result and regularly take cases to trial (and win) when the DA is unreasonable. At the end of the day it is the client's fully-informed decision to go to trial or enter a guilty plea, as this person did. For this reason we do not charge a trial fee, so there is no money involved in the client's decision. We don't promise 'dismissal', as some attorneys unethically do, which makes me feel this was not my client. Open and congenial conversations and negotiations with the DA are essential to reaching a favorable resolution and my 35 years experience gives me the advantage in negotiations for my clients.

Highly Recommend

Professional and informative. It is a long process and Mr. Alfrey and staff kept me updated throughout the process. They were on top of everything. He ultimately got my charges completely dropped, which I am unspeakably grateful for. Highly recommend.

DUI CASE

I made the right choice choosing Curtis Alfrey to represent me for my case. He asked me to trust him from the beginning. He lead me down the right path for everything I could and should do leading up to my DUI hearing to provide mitigation to the courts. Domestic Violence Defense Win

Another 5 start for Curt. I was being acussed of an assault one day and 3 months later I was charged as retaliation. Curt made a great discovery and gathered witnesses. Ultimately the case was dismissed for lack of evidence.

Helped me get out of my careless driving charge

Mr. Alfrey helped me with my careless driving traffic misdemeanor ticket. The other driver involved in the accident was an underage student driver. While preparing my case he advised me what needs to be done and eventually my careless driving charge was dropped to a 2 point driving a defective vehicl...e instead. I was very happy with the outcome. The accident wasn't even my fault in the first place. Mr. Alfrey's team was responsive, knowledgeable, experienced, and helped me get out of a messy situation. Thank you for helping me get out of this.
