This is the only defamatory review I have ever received. I have worked tirelessly for not only Yolanda (years ago, getting her many theft felonies resolved with the absolute best case results) but also many members of her family. I was scheduled to go to a jury trial for her son's aggravated assault case on December 16th. The case is still waiting to be tried and Yolanda hasn't made any further efforts to do anything to help her son, or pay us. Her family owes us thousands of dollars for our trial fee in this case and have been making really no effort to pay us despite us working almost around the clock to prepare for trial. I got her son out on a $100,000 bond in this case. I've kept him free on a GPS monitor for years despite repeated violations. Our trial fee is $10k on top of the pretrial fee and not even a third of that has been paid with trial right around the corner. I was persistent with the family (though I haven't spoken to Yolanda ever about this case) a week before trial that I needed better efforts with payments because I was giving them my best effort preparing for trial. Not once did I tell them I would abandon my client. I always intend to finish what I started, especially when I've worked with someone and their family for the better part of a decade. Unfortunately this has now earned me a defamatory, baseless review for being greedy, sloppy and street ghetto. The client himself has no issues with me and I've spoken to him today. He apologized for his mother and said he'd speak to her. This woman hasn't paid us one dollar for his case, she hasn't reached out to provide support for any part of his defense. She just comes on AVVO and leaves a flaming review a week before trial. I will do everything in my power to fight for my clients. There is a reason this is my first negative review. I encourage anyone who reads this to call me personally and speak with me to form their own opinion about my character.
