Caring & Personable Attorney

Stacy was wonderful, caring, and compassionate in my case. She was firm with the opposition and completely backed me at all times. I am extremely grateful.

Custody Battle

July 2016 I hired Stacy for what I assumed would be standard establishment of paternity. As a Veteran and someone who has never had any negative legal interactions I was completely unprepared for what ensued. What I failed to realize, at the time, was that the other parent did not have intentions of ...willingly allowing me to play a role in my child's life. This began a year long campaign in which I had to defend every aspect of my life. Any father going through the family court system will quickly realize that they will be be disadvantaged. This requires patience, tenacity, and the willingness to fight and prove that you are someone that deserves to be in your child's life. Stacy is the single reason I was able to succeed at preventing the other parent from continuing to alienate me. Stacy refused to allow this to happen. From day one she filed motions and compelled the other side to comply with our court orders or risk litigation. Stacy never allowed me to be taken advantage of and refused to allow me to give up hope, even when I became hopeless. Ultimately, Stacy was able to mediate a settlement with the other side and got me a very favorable outcome. I would never want anyone else to defend me in family court. Stacy and her entire office made my case their business and I felt like family. I am eternally grateful for Stacy and her wonderful staff.

Excellent attorney who cares

My husband moved our children and I to Texas 5 years ago after accepting a position with his company. The children and I came down six weeks after him due to waiting for the school marking period to end so that they could start at their new schools at the beginning of the new six week marking per...iod. It was a very difficult transition for my children and myself as I left behind my recently widowed mother of 81 years old, but I was trying to support my husband in his new position and felt the move may be for the best for our family. I discovered after living here for 3 years that he had been involved in an affair with his co-worker that started before the children and I even moved here. I was devastated and with the advice of family and friends I decided to hire Stacy to file for divorce based on his infidelity. The divorce was filed in December of 2014. My husband pleaded with me to try to reconcile and work things out. In January of 2015 I decided to try to reconcile as I am not an advocate for dicorce and come from a traditional Catholic family. However after a few months of trying to reconcile I realized that he was still seeing the same woman. Unfortunately, prior to discovering this, I dismissed the case, against Stacy's advice. I felt it was the best way to prove my diligence to my husband in trying to reconcile. Stacy advised me to just leave the case on hold until we were sure everything was working out but I insisted on dismissing it. That was March of 2015. Immediately I noticed the difference in my husband's enthusiasm in trying to work things out and realized I had made a huge mistake. I called Stacy and explained I had screwed up and wanted to proceed with the divorce. Stacy is a compassinate person. She said she would do her best to go forward to help me. Long story short, even with a divorce no longer pending, and witbout having to refile, we were able to go before the judge and convince him to sign the petition to lift the dismissal and proceed with the divorce. Due to the amount of time that had passed, the moment he signed the paperwork the divorce became official since we were way past the waiting period. That was March of 2016, a year after I had dismissed it . Stacy never charged me another dime after the original agreed fee almost two years prior and helped me out of the nightmare I had been living. Stacey is an excellent attorney who cares about her clients and does not treat them all the same but carefully assesses each case upon the situation the client is in. I cannot say enough about her. She is professional yet compassionate and truly cares about her clients. You cannot find a better attorney. She will go to bat for you 100% and then some. If you are looking for representation of an attorney in the New Braunfels/San Antonio area, look no further than Stacy Goodbread, she is absolutely the best out there.

One of the Best!

Stacey Goodbread was my Divorce Attorney in a very comprehensive and difficult case. I was in for the fight of my life with an EX, who had hired four Attorney's to represent him over the course of my case. Stacy kept me calm, involved and focused throughout this time. Stacy is well respected in th...e Legal field, among her peers and Judges, and for good reason. I have confidently referred Stacy several times over the years, and every person was thoroughly impressed with her extensive legal abilities and remarkable professionalism. I could not have been more pleased with the outcome, her expertise, compassion and tenaciousness in representing me and my children.

The best attorney I've EVER encountered!

Long story short. I have stage 4 cancer and have been embroiled in lengthy custody battles with my ex husband. I have had several different attorneys in the tarrant Co. Area. I am now going through a divorce with my second husband in Comal Co. and Stacy Goodbread is my highly recommended attorney. I ...can honestly say that she is the best attorney I've ever worked with. She is compassionate, extremely knowledgable, doesn't waste your time, she is responsive and does the best possible work on your behalf. You couldn't ask for better representation. In simple terms, she is amazing!
