Excellent Lawyer!

I am extremely happy with Shane Phelps. Shane reduced my felony charge to a misdemeanor plea, and he reduced my deferred adjudication to only 6 months. I could not have asked for a better lawyer, he was patient and truly cared about my well being. He did a superlative job, he achieved things way abov...e and beyond my expectations. I strongly recommend hiring him

Son in Legal trouble

Given my son's offense the final result was excellent and all we could have asked for. His actions and choices could have easily ruined years hard work and effort he had put into his life and Shane's knowledge and competence with these type things was clearly demonstrated. I am and always will be... grateful to him for this. The only reason I didn't give "5's" all across is there were several times I was confused on timing and question why it took almost a year to dispose of ?? I had called the office a couple of times to ask questions and could not talk with Shane directly. I understand, my son is not the only case and he had to deal with, and the one in front of him that day was probably more pressing than ours ... and I was emotionally charged because to me my son's future hung in the balance and that probably clouds my interpretation of responsiveness ... At the end of the day I wanted the BEST legal help available and think we absolutely received what we paid for. I will confidently refer Shane Phelps to anyone that needs legal assistance.

Amazing Criminal Defense!

Shane Phelps delivered a full expunction of my criminal charges in less than three months and helped put my life back on track. That may sound extreme, but as a senior at Texas A&M University just months away from graduation with a top-tier job offer on the line and very little time to spare, Shane ...was exactly the right person to defend me against the criminal charges I had been arrested for. He wasn’t the first lawyer I consulted with, but shortly after our initial conversation began in his pristine private office, I knew that I would be hiring him. Results, communication, confidence, staff-excellence, and ease-of-payment are all words I would use to describe my experience with Shane’s law practice. The results speak for themselves. Shane did all the legwork to provide expunction of my charges and arrest record; it doesn’t get better than that. While never promising outcomes he can’t guarantee, Shane’s confident communication settled my worries and allowed me to concentrate on my school and personal life in a time of much trouble and confusion. In each conversation, Shane would explain the options in front of us, avoiding any “lawyer speak”, and make an experienced recommendation to help guide my decision. I felt relieved that I had a capable defense attorney representing me in something that started out so awfully. Finally, my entire experience with Shane’s practice was magnified by the wonderful staff he has placed around him. Whether I was talking with his associate attorneys or an office assistant, everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. If you shop around for representation, you’ll realize that Shane provides a great value for quality legal defense services. He offered me a payment plan that I could afford, which is critical for a college student, or anyone else, with very little cash flow. On top of that, his friendly staff accepts credit card payments over the phone, something that is rare among professional service providers. It is for these reasons, among many more, that I urge anyone in the region needing top-notch legal defense to give Shane’s office a call, schedule a consultation, and see what he can do for you. Very Compassionate Attorney

My son is a college student at Texas A&M and got into some legal trouble that included a misdemeanor and a felony. I was referred to Attorney Shane Phelps by another A & M student that had also used his services. I was a nervous wreck! Shane Phelps always, always comforted me when I needed comforting... and viewed my son as the great human being that he is and not just a client. I always felt that Shane Phelps truly cared about my son, his future and our family. I would highly recommend Attorney Shane Phelps for his knowledge of the law and definitely for his compassionate and caring heart! LJ

Poor communication and lackluster performance

Hired Mr. Phelps for a DUI charge. He was very professional and knowledgeable, but overall the communication with Mr. Phelps was very poor. Trying to get in contact was extremely difficult, and information changed on every conversation. It felt like he was just quickly browsing over my file before ev...ery phone call to try and piece together what was said last time. Take some consideration before you pull the trigger and hire a lawyer. Get someone who will actually fight to get the best possible deal rather than shoot for the standard plea deal and call it a day. Once he gets the standard plea deal, your checked off the list and that's the best you're gonna get. He will not advise you if he can fight for better. Although, his paralegals are amazing and truly hold the office together. They will help you with anything possible and hare extremely polite and professional.

I'm sorry you walked away from your experience with my office with anything other than a completely positive experience. As your comment is anonymous, it is difficult for me to address your specific issues, however I can unequivocally state that I do everything in my power to achieve the very best result for all of my clients (I have a reputation among prosecutors across the state as never giving up trying to get a better deal for my clients, all the way up to the point that we are actually in front of the judge). I never settle for the first offer from a prosecutor. As I almost certainly advised you from the beginning, as I do all my clients, I strive to respond to calls from my clients as quickly as I can. However, there are times that I am in trial when I am tunnel-visioned on helping that particular client at that particular time. If I did not respond as timely as you expected when you left messages, I apologize. I will also say that my cell number is on my business cards and on my website and I speak to clients all the time, including nights and weekends. Once again, I am sorry that your experience with me was not completely positive. I wish you the best in the future.
