Where do I start?? First of all I'm a dad, so in the beginning I went through 8 different lawyers before I chose Matthew to defend me, and let me tell you I don't regret a single moment of the process! The man knows his stuff! From day one he was honest and upfront about the system and best of all ...he didn't ROB me!! After our first consultation which lasted about 45 minutes I knew instantly he was the right man for the job! I genuinely recommend Matthew and his staff, especially for dad's. Matt just recently handled my divorce and did a great job. He was very conscious of my budget for legal fees and worked with me to minimize the costs. His rates are very fair! Matt also had a great way of putting my worries at ease when something would come up. I highly recommend him. I hired Matt Skillern for my divorce/ custody dispute and could not have been more disappointed. His office is unorganized and Matt himself seemed to be on a never ended vacation. Deadlines for missed time and time again for turning items in for discovery. On top of that, not one, but TWO hearings we...re missed for temporary orders. I showed up on both occasions and he was no where to be found. This is time out of my day and off work, not to mention the emotional haul of preparing for a hearing. When they did reschedule the hearing, Matt sent an associate to handle it instead of himself. All the while I was charged for his hourly rate.

Called this office to ask a simple question to find out if i need to set appointment the receptionist cut me off and abruptly told me they don't practice that type of law mid sentence before i could respond when i was alloud to speak again she told me it would be 200 dollars to ask any questions conc...erning my family court situation .moral to this review dont catch that receptionist on a bad day because everyone loses with that attitude.
