Empathy an d Compassionate

It is not often that you work with a Attorney by chance and find one that shows Empathy and Compassion for what you are going through. I had so many fears and concerns standing up to a company that did me wrong. Mr. James Davis prepared and encouraged me from start to finish. On Trial day I was so ...confident thanks to his coaching and support that I was able to stand up.

Not worth the money

In 2007, after a few phone call exchanges, James Davis charged $2500 and told me my employer would not negotiate and he needed another $2500 to file EEOC and labor law violations. I decided he had charged too much for 3 weeks worth involving one letter to my employer and one phone to their attorney w...ho refused to negotiate. I filed with the grievance committee and Davis sent me threatening emails that he would sue me and even named the attorney he would use. I'm not sure why he needed an attorney when he was an attorney, but I still have his emails. The grievance committee told me to ask him for my money back. That's the only help I got back then from the Grievance committee. Davis sent me a check for $60 which I never cashed. Obviously, Davis does not want to return money he didn't earn and gets vindictive when a client complaints. I would be extremely concerned if he was hired as an attorney due to his unorthodox methods which could work against his client. He also canceled an appointment with me and rescheduled me at the same time with another client. This makes me think there are other issues with Davis. Davis was only responsive when I tried to get my money back, otherwise, it was difficult to contact him when I believed in him. I then found an attorney who would work on contingency and received $20K from my former employer three months later. That attorney received $7K for his efforts, so Davis missed out on an opportunity because he overcharges and intimidates his clients.

I will not comment on the specifics of any anonymous comments in this forum, but I can say that every person who actually comes into my office is provided a free out-of-pocket-option if they have a case of discrimination or retaliation post-consultation. Period. it has been this way since 1999 when I first started. I want to make this very clear. In addition, if you have a case before the EEOC and you have mediation I will assist you at no charge out-of-pocket presuming you have a viable case and are not seeking reinstatement or employment record correction as your exclusive remedy. My number direct is 713-724-2433 if you would like to schedule a time to consult about your claim. thank you for taking the time to read this.

Fights for your Rights!

I am a person with a disability and I have had difficulty in the work place setting. I contacted Mr. Davis and met with him for a consultation in 2012. He treated me with respect and listened patiently to my work issues. He understood that my goal was to maintain my job and to be treated with respec...t as the other employees in the work place. He gave me clear legal options that were open to me. He was responsive to my issues and identified some issues that I had overlooked. I found Mr. Davis to be very passionate about the law in general and an advocate of people with disabilities. His office or Mr. Davis kept me updated on the progress of my case and I had his cell number. I am pleased to say that I am employed full time and being treated with the same respect as the other employees. I can count on him. Proud to say he is my attorney!
