I worked with John and his team starting in fall of 2017 through early summer of 2019. My case was a little challenging as there were four charges (including a DWI) across 2 counties. In Tarrant County, John approached negotiations in aggregate, resulting in 1 charge dismissed and the others settle...d for 12 months probation starting end of 2018. Note the court negotiations in Tarrant were managed by an affiliate attorney (not part of his firm). This was a little off-putting at first but I ultimately found her to be very competent and complimentary to John's approach. Another benefit was she knew the DA fairly well. Both she and John remained in close contact so there were no communication gaps. The Denton charge was negotiated down in severity and resulted in 12 month probation starting summer of 2019. John was the lead in this case and took his time to get to best outcome. We were ready to go to trial when I decided to accept the plea. I appreciated the guidance received which helped me make the decisions as to whether I take to court or continue the settlement negotiation. I'm happy with my decisions, but of course will always wonder what if we'd litigated? John and Trish were both helpful and very thorough throughout the process. From the very beginning John was upfront and honest about all the possible ways to handle my DWI 1st in Dallas County. He gave me both his professional opinion and personal opinion. He knows the Judges well and was running circles around all of the other DWI Attorney's in the Dallas County Criminal... Court House. I was arrested and charged with DWI after an accident occurred (thankfully noone else was involved). This was my first misdemeanor DWI offense; didn’t look my best on video, refused blood/breath tests, and failed to utilize my right to silence in all instances.
