I am glad that I had Mr. Starr dealing with my civil case. A company was owing me money for services I had tendered and after hire Mr. Starr I could receive all the money back! I currently reside in Chicago but I had a felony charge in Dallas that was threatening my career and possibly, my freedom. I hired Kent to handle my DWI case. Initially I was very impressed with him. But after the first consult, he basically ignorned me and my case, and give it to one of his assistants. He never returned my calls, but happily pocketed my retainer. The case, in the end, was ruled against me. Do not... trust this guy.

First of all…. The person who interviewed me for the PTD program asked more question about my situation than Kent did the entire time he handle my case, that person even showed more interest and concern about the events in my case. Second, Kent told me I do not have to plead guilty, coming to find ou...t; to get on the PTD program I have to plead guilty, first breakdown of trust. Third, I felt completely in the dark about what is going on with my case, even from the beginning, whether I have a strong case or a week case, was any rules broken, or procedures not followed, what are my options on the case, what course of action I should take, what documents have been filed or how my case would play out in the court room. I felt I was walking to my death; I had no reason to say I was confident in the way my case was being handled by Kent Starr, or any reason to believe he knew what he was doing. How can I say if he is knowledgeable about my case if he has not conveyed how he would defend my case. After multiple attempts to contact Kent, when I do if I do, I get an air of annoyance from him. I would not recommend this Lawyer to anyone.
