Very unprofessional!

Kathryn does not return telephone calls nor text messages and has zero communication skills. I made a request for a refund of a portion of my retainer fee and she went off on me and told me I was only doing this to insult her. This is CRAZY! I paid her $2500 for what is now going to be an uncontes...ted divorce so I asked for $1500 back as she has done nowhere near $1000 worth of work and she went ballistic on me and actually hung up the phone on me. WOW!

Family law is very emotionally charged and we cannot guarantee a particular outcome. When someone comes to us with an already preconceived low opinion of lawyers it can make representation difficult if not impossible as was the case here. We were threatened with a negative review if we did not yield to unreasonable demands and he made good on that threat. This began as an uncontested matter that became contested and we did what we were hired to do. The many positive reviews here reflect the seriousness and care we take with our clients, unfortunately, the Internet is often and too easily used as an "anonymous" weapon.

Child Custody

In May of 2017, I face a very scary terrifying situation, the father of my baby was using his mother to gain custody, the courts would not allow a drug addicted to have custody, so he tried to use a surrogate, his mother. Kathryn saw right thought the situation and she went to work to prove that I ...was a outstanding mother, fit to raise my child. Kathryn use her skills in discovering smallest details, focused on the facts, using technology to find the facts to help me and my son. She is the up most professional, strong on argument and passionate person I know when it is regarding children.

Couldn't be happier!!!

Both Kathy and Justin sat down with me and discussed my case in great detail. I was an absolute wreck initially and it definitely showed. I prevailed in the end due to their support and knowledge. They were always ready to answer any questions I had. I cannot thank them enough!!!

Very Dissapointed

Ms. Hudson did a very poor job with my case. She was frequently unavailable in response to how the case was progressing, Provided documented information that quite frankly, was very inaccurate and did not refused to fix issues post hearing that have continued to cause issues, which as a result, a new... attorney had to be retained.

This person is not a client and is attempting to harm my reputation and my law firm's, the poor grammar should be a red flag.

Review

I hired Kathryn on two separate occasions in response to my ex husbands request to modify our custody agreement. The first time, she was outstanding. She was flexible on payments, she was direct and knowledge and made me feel at ease that I could trust her. The second time however was a different sto...ry. It took me numerous calls to get a hold of her to even review the modification I was served with. Once I got a hold of her, things seemed to look like they would work out fine. I was in the process of moving (my husband is military) and she ended up going to court on my behalf because she was unable to get the court date changed and I wasn't able to be present at that time. I began to call her to check the status on what she had drafted up about a month out from the date. She would either not return my calls or when she did, she said she didn't have any new information on moving the date. I finally heard from her the night before the scheduled hearing around 11 pm and she went over her draft of what her and my ex husband's attorney had come to an agreement on. Everything seemed fine and the next morning she called right before the hearing with more demands from my ex. I was pretty much told to agree with what he wanted or I was going to make things more difficult. I was told that the judge at the time wasn't the nicest and if we couldn't agree he was the kind of judge to make his own call on matters. So I trusted her and let her continue with her advice. After the new modification was read into the record, she called me and said all was good and after the holidays she am would send me copies of everything. The holidays past and nothing. Finally after numerous calls, I get th copies of the new modification from her. I had noticed that there were things snuck in the record that were never reviewed by me and never agreed to. When I tried to call and email her about it, she never responded back to me. Now, I'm dealt with a huge headache and having to find another attorney to help me sort out this mess. I'll admit that I was supposed to pay Kathryn one final payment and I never sent it. I didn't feel like she did her job and represented me properly. If advise anyone who uses her to make sure you are present in court when she's there. I didn't feel she represented me properly and I think this was due to her not having her things in order early. I felt like o was rushed and pushed to the side as if she didn't have time to deal with me.

The danger with the Internet is that it can be used to unfairly smear a person's reputation. No one in my office can identify this scenario. Agreements between parties are approved and signed before being filed with the court. Perhaps if this person would have signed their name we could address her issues as we do whenever anyone has a complaint or doesn't feel things are as they want.
