Attorney Peggy Raddatz is a first-class family law attorney. I recommend her services unreservedly. To substantiate my recommendation, I will share three points from my experience in working with Ms. Raddatz. First, as noted by numerous other reviewers, Ms. Raddatz is very responsive. Even when... she is unable to turn her attention immediately to my questions, she responds that she has noted my question and that she will turn to it at her earliest opportunity. Second, Ms. Raddatz is direct, honest, and frank with her clients. While it can be difficult to learn and accept the harsh realities of family courts, it is better to understand the facts of the case and what can be done to work towards the best outcome for one's children. Ms. Raddatz always explains what is realistic, what is sensible, and what is out of the question. This knowledge and expertise are indispensable. Third, Ms. Raddatz endeavors to achieve an 'Agreed Order' for her clients. This means working with the opposing counsel to negotiate an order to which both parties agree, and the Judge simply signs off on that order. This avenue is much more beneficial than showing up to court without having done the due diligence of working towards a solution. Judges generally look favorably upon parties that do the hard work of reaching an agreement prior to court. In addition, Ms. Raddatz's paralegal, Ginger, has been immensely helpful in assisting with various administrative matters for my case. If and when additional issues arise that require a family law attorney, I rest assured knowing that I can work with Ms. Raddatz to resolve these issues expeditiously and effectively.

I am ashamed to say that originally Peggy was not my first phone call when searching for a lawyer. I was notified of a pending emergency child custody court date literally a week before, and was in a major rush to find a lawyer in time. Everyone I called kept beating around the bush, wanting a consul...tation fee, or even told me that I wasn't important enough for them to take my case. Not Peggy. I called Peggy, expecting an answering machine or an assistant, but I got her direct line. She picked up and we started chatting and she was able to take my case and get all caught up within a few days - and all for a flat rate! I have been so thankful to have her on my side. She is knowledgeable about family law, knowledgeable about child custody cases and Guardian Ad Litems, and will fight like hell for you in court. She is always available for questions - and I mean ALWAYS! Even if I send an email to her giving information or asking a question, she gets back to me immediately, and it is something that is greatly appreciated. She doesn't sugar coat or tell you what you think you want to hear, she tells you how it is. Peggy is one of those people who you want to have on your side because she doesn't back down. She is not afraid of opposing lawyers or judges and she will be your biggest supporter even outside the case. I am fully aware that Peggy has many other clients, but she never makes you feel like a burden. She takes your case personally and treats you like you and your family matters. She is the best advocate you could ask for, and at a rate that is affordable.

Going through a very expensive divorce that lasted almost 2 years I was very unhappy and had little faith in attorneys. I have 3 children who at the time were 5,4,1 and was the most stressful time of my life and needed someone in my corner. I would hear from my attorney maybe once every couple months... and not get emails returned, just the huge bills. Fast forward a couple years and some things came up with their mother and I needed to pursue full custody. I was terrified to lawyer shop again. I was browsing the internet on a Sunday morning and found peggy with 100 5 star reviews which was the best I found. I called and left a message asking if it was indeed a real person. She called me back ON A SUNDAY and we chatted. She was mad at me at first for not calling sooner. I mean this in a good way. She is very blunt and will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear, no sugar coating. Something I really appreciated. She had a flat rate for the emergency custody case which covered my whole case(over a year and a half in total) and a few more orders I feel were not really supposed to be included. Within a few weeks my kids were with me full time, I now have full custody and can still keep the lights on. I saved her best quality for last so hopefully you hung in there....she is ALWAYS available and responds almost immediately. This is so important when you're stressed out. I can't count how many times I had a question and would specifically note "no rush" or "when you're free" . I would still get a phone call or text(yes, from her cell phone) right away. To me it's hard to put a price tag on that, but there was, and it was very reasonable. I really hope to not need Peggy again but if I do I'll feel I'm in good hands. I would also like to give an honorable mention/shout out(use the term that reflects your age) to her paralegal Ginger, she is on top of her game and it's obvious her and Peggy use the same playback when it come to communication and promptness.
