Eric is the man! I was driving down 355 and the speed limit dropped to 55mph causing me to be 26+ over the limit. This is a common speed zone and the officer was sitting there waiting for people like myself. Everyone was going 80mph+ but I happened to be the one to get picked this time. I fully suppo...rt police officers and it was 100% my fault. I was handed a ticket that said 625 ILCS 5/11-601.5(a) which is a Class B Misdemeanor. I started googling what to do and do I need a lawyer, etc. etc. Once I realized what I was facing, I got scared and was very nervous for my future. My name was called to face the Judge, we handed him the form and I was scheduled another date to come back. The day I came back, which was a month or so later, the police officer didn't show up. The entire case was dropped and I didn't have to pay a penny to the court. Without Eric Blatti's guidance, I don't even want to imagine the outcome. Most people are unfamiliar with the legal practice and the court system until they find themselves unwittingly or unwillingly "involved" in it. The first lawyer that I retained was a referral from an attorney that helped my family for over 30 years. However, it was not a strong relationship.
