Professional and Experienced Representation

I’ve known David Karp for 18 years. In that period of time, he represented me in two divorce cases. I know David to be professional, experienced, dedicated, ethical, honest, and always on top of his game. My last divorce was in my opinion one of the most difficult cases one could imagine, due to deal...ing with very difficult people. David handled the case with great composure and expertise. It seemed to me that David was always two steps ahead of the process. He worked diligently to arrive at a fair outcome which was the case at the end of the day. I am completely satisfied with the way my case was handled and the outcome. David has my full respect and confidence. I highly recommend David!

Not Pleased

I found David not to be very personable. In addition, he seemed to want to bend to opposing representation in most cases. I never got the feeling he was helping me. I'm not familiar with divorce law as I've never been divorced before and David had a difficult time explaining things in laymen terms. ... David and his firm are not very privy to privacy of personal protected information either. He forwarded an email from opposing counsel that included my full name, address, SSN and DOB and thought nothing of it. When I brought it to his attention via, he was silent. About three weeks later it happened again. This time I talked to him about it and he apologized, but still didn't think anything of it. I filed a grievance against David and opposing counsel with the Office of Lawyer Regulation over this matter and as soon as David found out about it, he withdrew from my case, leaving me in limbo. Now I have to find a new lawyer to close this thing out. In my case, I found David not to meet expectations and would not recommend him.
