I am so blessed to have had Jesse Williams for my defense attorney. In the fall of 2014 I got caught up in the mess of a lifetime over a simple misunderstanding with Michigan's very confusing medical marijuana law. And it happened in a very conservative county in the upper peninsula so the cards were... stacked against me from the very beginning. The prosecutor wanted me severely punished because I was a public school teacher that had a medical marijuana card and he was very difficult to deal with. The prosecutor constantly pushed back dates, and didn't bring evidence to court. He made all kinds of excuses to draw out the length of my defense. Jesse was incredible in the court room and he does a great job with questioning witnesses and talking to the judge. He sometimes suprised us with quick changes in direction of his questioning that led to very helpful answers. We fought for two years and we were about to go to trial before a reasonable plea bargain was offered. I was originally facing 5 felonies a max of 37 years (which was totally ridiculous) in prison, and my plea bargain boiled down to one felony that can be expunged, and 6 months probation. Jesse also convinced the judge to allow me to access cannabis for medicinal purposes while on probation which is a huge victory considering the chronic pain condition that I suffer from. In those two years worth of battle Jesse always did a great job of doing what was best for me. He loves to go to battle in trial, but said he thought trial wasn't what was best for me. I think most lawyers would have advised what was best for their pocket books in that case because going to trial would have been a nice sized pay check for him. But he wanted what was best for me and he honestly cared about getting me the best possible outcome. In a few years I will have a clean record and will be able to get back to teaching if I want. And most importantly, he saved me from sitting in prison for a crime I really didn't commit. I would recommend him to anyone who is in trouble because he was worth every penny and then some. My family and I will always be greatful for what he did for us.

The first time I spoke with Jesse he told me that other lawyers would charge me twice or even three times as much as he would for me. I did just that & he was right. I told him I couldn't come up with the amount of money he was asking for, & then he told me to pull as much together then we'll talk. B...eing only 19, & facing felony charges I felt like my life was over. I didn't see my future anymore. I had lost all hope. I believe I encountered Jesse for a reason. I pulled together as much money as I could, & Jesse said he would help me out. He did all he could, dropped my felony charges & in a single court date got everything sotter out. He understood my situation & the fact he believes I learned from this & will only work towards my future gave me hope again. To finish it off, he didn't even ask for the remaining balance I owed him. This past year we required council from Jesse L. Williams for a legal matter. We would like to comment on the quality of service Mr. Williams provided for our daughter. Jesse displayed superior knowledge in reviewing details of the case and in his thinking "outside the box." As a result, our daugh...ter obtained a positive disposition in which her sentence was substantially reduced from the original charges. Throughout the process, Jesse demonstrated professionalism, competency, compassion, and availability whenever needed. His commitment to seeing our daughter get the best defense was always evident. The court system tried to charge me with two misdemeanors because of an accident I was in. I was not guilty, so Jesse and I were fully prepared to take my case to trial. Jesse did such a wonderful job that I never even made it to trial. The day that I was scheduled jury selection I instead walked out... of the court house with 3 points on my license and a small fine. No criminal charges on my record whatsoever. I would highly recommend Jesse to anyone. He is extremely understanding, kind, and very enthusiastic about his job. You can tell that Jesse takes pride in what he does and I am very greatful for the work that he has done for me!

On March 3, 2014 I was charged with Controlled Substance/Delivery-Manufacturing Marijuana. I was recommended Jesse through a "downstate" attorney firm to handle my case.
